Just got my first car and never owned one before so I'm clueless as to what to do..

The driver side side mirror got shattered when I was bringing the car in the garage (newby fail) and I need to get a replacement. I went back to where I purchased the car and the dealer said it will cost me $99.99 for the mirror and $160 to get it replaced!

That seems like too much for a simple mirror replacement! Even the cost of the mirror it self seems too much for something that costs less than a dollar to make.

The car is a Honda Civic 2012 and I'm located in Toronto, can anyone tell me what I should do? I've purchased the authentic mirror for now but haven't opened it yet so I can still return it!

What is the expected cell voltage for:

Zn | 0.10M ZnSO4 || 0.10M AgNO3 | Ag

E = -0.76V for Zn -> 2e + Zn2+

E = 0.80V for Ag+ + e -> Ag

How do I do this? Do I just add up the two numbers?

So if I was doing an experiment where I have to find Enthalpy of Formation (EoF) of MgO, and I didn't have perfect conditions (meaning it was during a lab class and as you know, ppl don't usually get exact answers), would my experimental EoF value be higher or lower than the theoretical? And why?

This is what I wrote for a chemistry lab exam is it right? If not, where are the mistakes?

Main equilibrium: CrO4[2-] + H[+] <-> H2CrO4

Stress A: Add BaCl2

Secondary Eqm: H[+] + Cl[-] -> HCl

The equilibrium will shift to the left to produce the H+ ions.

Stress B: Add NaOH to the same well (meaning to the main eqm, add BaCl2 first and then add NaOH to that)

CrO4 + H <-> H2CrO4

H + Cl -> HCl

NaOH + H2CrO4 <-> H2O + Na2CrO4

As the H2CrO4 is used up, the eqm will shift towards the right.

My laptop crashes occasionally. I always noticed that it crashes when its kinda hot or has a lot of load on it (like playing a YouTube video @ 720p). Its an old laptop, HP Pavilion dv8210ca, hasn't been modified in any way. It'll crash if its moved in anyway so now its basically just sitting on my desk.

Every time it crashes I have to wiggle around the AC adapter and wrap its wire around the brick and then it'll work, until it crashed again...

I'd buy a new adapter but I want to be sure that the problem is the AC adapter it self and not the laptop's internal power unit. Is there anyway to do that? I don't have another AC unit and none of my friends/family/neighbours use the same laptop...

So I went for a 3500m run today and 1000m in I had this weird feeling in my left leg's pinky finger... I thought it was nothing and kept running till like 2000m and then it became unbearable. It was hurting soo much. So I stopped running. I came home and I saw it was a blister..

Yea, I got burned because I wore shoes.. :|

SO how would I treat it, because I didn't realize it was a burn till like 6 hours after. I poked a needle in the blister thing and water came out so I am like hmm...and now there are several needle holes...

I am kinda confused in the relationships between them...

My teacher gave us three laws of gases:

Boyle's Law (P = k 1/V)

Charle's Law (V = k T)

Guy Lusacc (P = k T)

I am confused. If V = T and T = P then how is P equal to 1/V?? Shouldn't P = V.

What I am thinking wrong here? (I know that logically it makes sense but I just want to know where am I going wrong in that thinking process)

Moles of Na2CO3 := 2.36 / 105.99

= 0.0223 moles

Moles of H2o = 1.61 / 18.02

= 0.0893 moles

Ratio = 0.0893 / 0.0223

= 4

The square of the period of a pendulum, T varies directly with the length of the pendulum, L and inversely with the acceleration due to gravity, g.

a) Determine the equation for g.

b) Given the period of the pendulum to be 2.4s, for a pendulum length og 1.4m and a g value of 9.8m/s^2. Determine a value for k.

My work so far::

a) T^2 = kL

and

T^2 = k / Ag {Ag is accelation due to gravity}

Ag = k / (T^2)

b)

T^2 = k /Ag

2.4^2 = k / 9.8

56.448 = k

But the problem is the k value is no where close if I use the length in the first equation (T^2 = kL)..

Hi,

I just restored my BB because I forgot the password. Now, it won't take any input from keypad. It takes input sometimes like in the browser and SMS/EMail but it doesn't accept me typing 'blackberry' to erase the phone again and start over.

Also, sometimes while surfing the web, when I have to fill out forms, it won't take any input from the keypad. For example, I am trying to restart my E-Mail services and I need to send my Username password. It won't take any input. It becomes like pressing TAB key on a computer. If I press C, it goes to Close and F gets me to Forgot Password.

What should I do?? Please help!!

So my friends thought it would be funny if I woke up with my hair completely messed up. I now have a REALLY bad hair cut and don't know what to do. At some places like round the ears, the hair are like cut in straight lines instead of nice curve... :@ and they r too long at the back cause they r really short on sides and what not....
