I was wondering, has technology a DVR type device that can take a Signal form a HDMI cable and record it

I am trying to install Linux in a desktop to have a house based server, I downloaded Linux, Put it on DVD as an ISO file. I then inserted the DVD into the drive, set the computer to boot from DVD drive first and this shows BootMgr not found

I found a computer on the sidewalk, since my Video Editing Computer was down, having thermal overheating, I took this home and switched out Motherboards. I an now running the computer with the motherboard and Hard disk from the one I picked up. I downloaded the instruction sheet for the motherboard, made sure it was all hooked up right. Now all it does, when I press start, is run the fans for five seconds, shuts off for 10 seconds and then runs again for 5 or 6 seconds, then repeats like that. What can do to get this to run properly?

Whenever I buy buttermilk, it pours out and has chunks in it, but whenever I see it on cooking shows, it is smooth, like milk or cream.

2) do I need to run this through a hand blender or such before use?

After running for a while, the start menu, the thing that comes up when you click start, lets you get to 'My Computer', 'My Documents', 'Control Panel", etc, starts to act strange. It will open, but disapears right quick, unable to click on anything. It works fine for the first four or five minutes then just starts doing this not letting you click on anything mode.

Can you and should you Defragment a FAT32 Disk Drive?

Th two front side windows on my 2003 Impala will only go up 1/2 way, both about the same amount. Happened for the first time today, went out several hours later, still go about half way up then stop. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

I was sent a very nasty email from a yahoo answers member. When I click on the name of the person in the email, it takes me to what might be a) the users changed name or b) a different user.. I searched for questions asked by this person, found one, clicked on it and I cannot see the question, it says 'You cannot view this question at this time. I cannot report abuse the usual way. I need someone from the yahoo answer team to email me. I want this person removed from yahoo answers.

My father in law is starting to send emails using an Open Office Word processor document as an attachment. My word 2002 will not open a file he sends me. Now the question I have. If I can convince him to start sending .doc files, what should he save the file as? Should it be in the 97 or 92 format of .doc?

Would it be just as easy, if one exists, for him to send a file conversion program along with the email?

Trying to do a break job on my car. Have one wheel that will not come off. Removed the lug nuts, beat on rim, tire with 3 lb sledge hammer. Have tried a 2 foot pry bar behind, pulled as hard as I could, no luck.

Anybody have any ideas?

The fan for heat and AC first would only work on high and now has quit altogether. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

My Router assigns IP numbers to each device on our home network. These are the out of the box IP numbers - 192.168.1.1. Can I change these IP numbers to something like 123.456.1.1? or 201.768.1.1?
