You want some sweet profile in there, like brown sugar or honey, and you need to cook it all in a pot, simmer the sauce for a while. Play around with it, create your own signature if you want. It's meant to be fun right? I add peaches and peach juice sometimes, sometimes apple juice, really depends on the aim of my bbq sauce.

I have some soy sauce, Kraft BBQ sauce, Onions, Garlic, Liquid Hickory Smoke Pork Ribs that have had the silver skin removed, then Salt and pepper sprinkled on them. If i put this all together, say 1/2 cup soy sauce, the whole bottle of BBQ Sauce, a chopped up onion and several garlic cloves also. add a couple drops of liquid smoke and the ribs, would they taste good?
Source(s): I usually use two bottles of dianna sauce and about 3/4 cup of brown sugar and some liquid smoke, these taste delicious, but I just want to change it up this time
