latin translation: Gratia benedictus vs Benedictus gratiam?
Please translate both phrases, as is possiible, or correct. Thanks
Gratia benedictus
Benedictus gratiam
I'm playing with the idea of kindness, blessing, and friendship in this, but I never studied Latin and so I don't know the fine grammar points of writiing it correctly!
2 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoDoes anyone have teaching suggestions for a 13 year old diagnosed as hypo-active?
Note: NOT hyper-active- the opposite. This child can focus on tiny things for hours (seems like it is on the autism spectrum, though as a school we have not received that kind of diagnosis). This child will sit quietly at her desk, working diligently without disturbing others, but not produce anything. She seems to be on task, but worksheets are never completed, projects are not done. She draws constantly, but even art related school projects are ignored. She is apparently medicated for this, though with little improvement. We have some strategies beginning next week, involving an agenda going between mom and teachers, sending her to study hall each lunch hour, and having to stay after class on Friday if she doesn't finish. Any other strategies to offer?
2 AnswersTeaching1 decade agoIn older Italian (like 200-300 years ago) How would you say 'my love' or 'my dear one' or 'my darling'?
I know amore or tesoro (tesora?) is current, but what would the more old fashioned way to say it?

2 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoLooking for a ferry schedule for the Amalfi coast in March?
I know I saw one last month, but now I can't find it! All I can find now are summer or fall schedules. We will be there this March, and I'd rather avoid that crazy bus ride between Sorrento and Positano if I can. Ferry looks perfect. Help?
1 AnswerOther - Italy1 decade agoWhat is the best route from Venice to Cinque Terra by train?
Available to travel from Friday morning and wanting to be able to explore a bit in day light. Any of the 5 towns as destination is fine so arriving from either direction is possible. What are stops that we should make to explore between Venice and 5 Terra? We are finding connections to La Spezia are not very good, and looking for options that locals or experienced travellers might know.
Can any one offer an alternative coastal place to explore (Sorrento and Positano are already on the agenda) that might be easier to get to, but is still beautiful and interesting?
2 AnswersOther - Italy1 decade agoIs there a small ferry from Cinque Terre (or La Spezia) to Sorrento (or Naples)?
I'm wondering whether there is a local ferry that travels the West coast of Italy during March, and whether it would be more economical and convenient to take such a ferry than to take a train? The only thing I can find on the internet are stops from giant cruise ships, but that's not the sort of thing I mean. Grazie!
5 AnswersOther - Italy1 decade agoDay cruise from La Spezia to Naples?
We are travelling in Italy during March. I am wondering whether it is possible to take a ferry (or similar) from La Spezia (or Cinque Terre) to Naples (or Sorrento) for similar cost and time to taking trains.
1 AnswerNaples1 decade agoEasiest way to get around in Italy if not with a tour?
My husband and I hope to be travelling in Italy for between 7-14 days in March, We are looking for options beyond the tour companies which are quite expensive coming from North America, and require a tight schedule. We want to see Venice, Florence, Rome and Pompeii. How is the public transportation system in Italy? Is bus or train better? Is a train pass (Euro pass or similar) recommended? What are recommended options for accommodations and dining? Are they expensive? Is there a B&B network? Is it sensible to try to do this on our own? Thanks for your suggestions!
4 AnswersOther - Italy1 decade agoHow do I get rid of cigarette smoke in shoes?
I just bought some stylish 'new to me' leather shoes that were previously owned by someone who probably died of lung cancer. They reek. I'm storing them sealed in a plastic box on a bed of baking soda, and they still stink. I'm worried I'm going to absorb nicotine through my skin while I wear them! What should I try next?
7 AnswersCleaning & Laundry1 decade agoIs there a way in Microsoft Word to auto-format pages 4 & 1 on one side, and pages 2 & 3 on the reverse?
I have laid it out in columns so I can get 4 pages per sheet of paper, but I need the layout to make a booklet (p 4 & 1 on one side, p 2 & 3 on the reverse multiplied by the whole document). My document is 530 pages long, so I don't want to do this page by page; I want MS to format the entire document at a click. Is this possible? If not in Word, can I do it in MS Publisher if I transfer the file?
2 AnswersSoftware1 decade agowhy did my NO BEST ANSWER get disregarded and allow community to vote a best answer?
I asked Greek or Macedonian speakers to tell me the name of Alexander the Great in their language. There are two answers to the question. Not wanting to stir up the 'where is Macedonia?' debate that is rather contraversial in that region, I chose NO BEST ANSWER, and had a note that ASK YAHOO community would not be able to choose an answer. Now I have rec'd notice that a vote was permitted. Why did this happen? I accept both Megas Aleksandros and Aleksandros Makedonski as accurate for my purposes.
