Is there a small ferry from Cinque Terre (or La Spezia) to Sorrento (or Naples)?
I'm wondering whether there is a local ferry that travels the West coast of Italy during March, and whether it would be more economical and convenient to take such a ferry than to take a train? The only thing I can find on the internet are stops from giant cruise ships, but that's not the sort of thing I mean. Grazie!
Here on the west coast of Canada we have ferries (I consider them small compared to cruise ships) that travel 800 km routes along the coast. I can not find any routes from Genova to Napoli in Italy. walk on. If you know of one, can you point me to a company website?

ferry?! that's italy, not america!!
ok, im italian (exchange student fot this year), and i'm used to travel (overall in italy, for sport). we only use ferries to travel to islands such as Sardinia, Sicily, Isola d'Elba etcetera. The best way to travel for so many km are
1) rent a car (info for international driving licence on http://www.patenteinternazionale.com/?gclid=CMqfsv...
2) train (italian website www.trenitalia.it)
3) fly (but is the most expensive.
have fun!!

I'm afraid you are right, no ferry from La Spezia to Napoli. I've been looking the different ferries Cos. but could not find any.
Have a look to this site, it gives you an idea of different ferry routes.

I would suggest travelling by train from Naples to La Spezia.
