How does the transition from Undergraduate to Graduate School work?

Does it work in the same way as it does from Highschool to University?

To get into a prestigious University Graduate Programs do you just need stellar GPA or do you also need to show that you have been involved in many activities concerning your major and etc...

Also, how does transfers work? Say I am at University A and would like to go to University B but B is a much more prestigious University. Would I need near flawless grades?

and finally. what would ultimately be the better choice.

Transferring out in the middle of the four years or finishing undergrad with a strong stat and applying for the prestigious grad school?

I am in dire need of any type of feedback on these list of universities I was offered admission to.

UC Davis, UC LA, UC Sandiego, Pepperdine, Grinnell

Here are my thoughts first.

As of now I am currently leaning towards Pepperdine or Grinnell because I dislike the idea of paying much much more tuition to attend the UC universities because I'm coming from Canada for the same education. I would prefer a private university such as Pepperdine or Grinnell which I was offered a bit of Financial Aid with. However, the rankings still bother me. UCLA seems to be well- rounded but Grinnell and Pepperdine seems to be decent at best.

My teachers say that they had inferior strategy and tactics but when I looked at a wiki article

hey guys

since i'm young and healthy i figured i might give not sleeping for a day a go

i've decided to stay overnight playing wow to keep me entertained

i'm just kinda worried about this whole blood clot thing tho

i heard a person died from playing too much

if i stay awake all night i'd prob be playing around 7~9 hours straight

will i be alright?

should i squeeze in some jumping jacks or push ups in between?

i looked at the world record time and it's around 45 seconds

so should i add another 5~10 second to that and would that be a good time?

and how would i train for the 400m? i'm used to long distance running so how can i make that transition?

i'm a grade 12 student and will soon be applying to universities

i need some rec letters from teachers but i'm not quite sure how they work

are the letters just written by my teachers and sent to the administrators to the universities?

or is there a certain format of rules by which my teachers need to follow when writing that letter?

and how should i go about asking these to my teachers?

i'm not that impressive of a student so i'm quite embarassed

is my cardio completely ruined?

i had an ankle sprain about 2 weeks ago and it's still showing no sign of healing damn it

so i'm just wondering

i'm not that fit but I worked pretty hard to build up a decent base in the summer for cross country season but now that i'm most likely gonna miss at least half or more of the season ( probably will take 1~2 more weeks to heal my doctor said)

i'm really furious so i'm wondering how much unfit i got

my 10k time from july was like 47~48 min and i've pretty much been bedridden (inactive 95%) for 3 weeks and 1~2 week more

would i even be able to run a 10k after recovery?

my 5k time's about 25 minutes as of now but if i don't sleep and just run 23 hours a day for 1 whole year can i achieve 11 minutes?

about 1 and a half week ago I think I twisted or sprained my ankle

I think it's more of a twist than a sprain because it wasn't too bad

I could walk with just a little bit of limping that same day and after one or two days I could walk just fine

but the annoying part is if this is just a minor injury, why isn't it healing by now?

It's cross country season and I already missed out on 2 meets and I'm dying to get back up and do recovery jogs and eventually get back to running

my ankle, as of now, seems okay as the swelling has gone down quite a bit but whenever I squat or turn my ankle a certain way it hurts a little

I've been doing a LOT of Icing, rest ( just walking and stuff) and etc

and when I went to see my doc last week he said it would be okay in 5 days but it;s been past that...

Hello guys

I just wanted to ask some guys who had twisted their ankles before

yesterday when I was walking I accidentally twisted my ankle on a bump and this morning I found out that it was swollen a bit

I'm guessing that it's not to much of a serious thing cuz i was able to walk to school fine with just minor limping and etc. ( i read that some ppl with serious sprained ankles couldn't even walk)

so i'm fortunate for that but I really wanna go back to getting exercise and stuff soon

so what should I do to heal my ankle faster? I've been doing icing and putting my foot above my heart and etc.. but anything else? and how much does it take?

i should be getting my wisdom teeth out in a several weeks and i can't say that i'm not afraid

but anyways getting to the point

i'm getting all 4 of my wisdom teeth out at once and the top 2 aren't even showing while the bottom 2 are semi-visible

the doctor told me that i should not be needing sedation

but after looking at some other posts they seem to encourage something called IV sedation for the not fully grown wisdom teeth,impacted wisdom teeth they call it?.

so i''m wondering which advice to go for

i don't think i would nearly vomit or go insane at the thought of them slicing open my gums and taking the wisdom teeth that are so far deep in but still i want the best advice possible

for example do schools like UNC or UCLA only have division 1 in cross country?

or does universities have all 3 divisions?

I know that there are divisions in university: division 1,2,3

so does that mean division 1 is like varsity? and 2 is medium and 3 is less competitive?

also, just how much difference is there between 1 and 2 and 2 and 3

is it possble to be in division 3 WHILE studying for a major at the same time?

Been running for a long time but I'm getting no where

I run about 20~40 minutes when I do and about 2~4 times a week

and my 8k time from last year and the 8k time from this year is almost identical

am i doing something wrong?

I thought just "running" was good?

does the "quality" of my run actually matter?

I actually think he's one of the coolest characters in Naruto

Despite him being one of the major antagonists, I have taken a liking to him.

Kakashi vs Guy

This is the big rivalry we're talking about. I know this has been brought up repeatedly over the past few years but I had trouble finding some of the more recent thoughts. (Every thread was 2~3 years old). I personally think this is dead even if not Guy is a little bit stronger. Guy took on Kisame, granted he was pretty weak at the time being, with his 7th gate and won easily. Same for Kakashi too though don't get me wrong, he beat one of the pains with a little help from the Akimichis. I just thought there were too many kakashi fangirls or fanboys who kept hyping Kakashi's power. I just thought Guy is too underrated.
