I'd like to give my daughter (a teacher) and her partner a wedding gift of a trip to Mexico for a week, so I need to know when the long holidays are in Fall, Winter and Spring. This is for Alberta, Canada.

I don't have a cellphone, and would not like to use one for taking photos, but would like a reliable little camera to use for candid shots. Advice, please?

Mormon fundamentalists and brothers, Ron and Dan Lafferty, murdered their brother Allen's wife, Brenda, and her little daughter in 1984. Last I heard, Dan was committed to two life terms without parole, and Ron was sentenced to death. He lost all his appeals. Has Ron ever been executed? If so, when, and by what means?

I have a six-month-old Springer Spaniel. Although I was a dog trainer and breeder for many years, this particular dog, Lily, is like none other I've ever had. I got her when she was four months old, and started her on leash training immediately. She still pulls badly, even on a choke chain, and the 'heel' command is completely beyond her. Even her vet says she needs some naturopathic 'calming medication'. The biggest problem is, at the end of the leash, jumping on people as they greet her or just simply walk by. She's wa-a-ay too friendly. I always give her the quick correction on the choke collar when she's about to jump, but it does no good whatsoever. She'd rather choke to death than stop pouncing. At home, she's just fine. She knows the sit, down and off commands well, but if someone comes to the gate or we meet someone on our walks, she's all over them. She's getting to be a very heavy dog now, and could really hurt someone. I seem to have tried everything I know to correct the problem, but I thought one or two of you might have an idea I hadn't thought of. (I've started to give her Bach's Rescue Remedy every morning before our walk ... not working so far.)

I have a 4 1/2 month old Springer puppy which I adopted about three weeks ago. The resident cat, who is used to older dogs, is being constantly annoyed by the new pup. It is obvious that the pup just wants to play with the cat, but is too rough. The cat, therefore, is miserable. I use the command "OFF" when the pup tries to get at the cat, but for the most part, I'm ignored. It doesn't help that the cat sometimes baits the dog from high places. Any advice as to how to make this situation better for all of us?

Has anyone else experienced 'issues' with Yahoo Mail in the last few days? When I want to send a message, I get a dialog box saying "Sorry, there was a problem sending your message", and buttons above saying "Back to Email" and "Try Again". Often, I can send messages without incident, but just as often, I have the problem above. Can anyone shed any light on this?

I've been told by four computer shops that the motherboard on my two-year-old Toshiba Satellite is "pfssst". Is there a chance that my hard drive might still be okay, and that I could still retrieve data from it? Thanks for helping an old lady who's computer illiterate. :)

I live in Mexico, and the folks across the street have a cat who is flea-ridden. Unfortunately, their cat Nina is my cat's best friend. Nina comes in my house to eat every night because she isn't cared for at home. My cat, Mia, has contracted Nina's fleas and has infested my home. I am having the home bombed tomorrow.

Now, the real question: I just sprayed Mia with PPT Flea Spray, given to me by the vet. She's licking it off her coat. Will she get sick? Should I bath her now that I can see she's going to lick at the substance, and find some other way to protect her from these critters?

Any suggestions or advice would be very welcome.
