Which inexpensive digital camera works best wiih Windows 10?

I don't have a cellphone, and would not like to use one for taking photos, but would like a reliable little camera to use for candid shots. Advice, please?

Update:

I need it to be compatible with Windows 10. (Gosh, I hate Windows 10!)

All cameras work equally well with Win7 or Win10. Other than physically connecting the camera to your computer, you don't need to worry about which OS you use with a modern camera. Most people use card readers instead of the camera to download images from the memory card. Why? Well, for one card readers for some reason have less problems communicating with a computer than cameras do. Plus, card readers can be up to 10x faster (USB3.0 vs USB2.0). So it's not so much the camera, but the included software that you really need to be concerned about. But even at that, there's not much to be concerned about. Since there's little to no difference between Win7 & Win10, most software will not have to be updated. Since Win10 has been for a while now, just about every company has updated their software to be 100% compliant with Win10. In cases where the supplied software needs to be updated, most companies will have patches, updates, or full versions of their software free to download from their support pages. I would go so far as to say you shouldn't use the supplied software. Just go to the support page for the brand and model and download all of the software instead of using what was supplied with the camera. This way you're sure to know that you've got the latest versions of everything.

I currently have Win7, and I had upgraded to Win10. All of software worked well without any need for updates or a patch. It's just that I didn't like Win10, and reverted back to Win7.

You can use any digital camera with a memory card.

Normally, cameras don't have to work with computers. You only need a cheap USB card reader to connect the camera's memory card directly to the computer's USB slot. When recognized, you use Windows Explorer or (Mac) Finder to do the copying so that you know where you put the pictures and you can be sure they are not modified in any way during the copy process. This method is the only recommended by both camera and computer experts because it eliminates all camera to computer connection problems.

All camera's will be the same in this regard. Even if a camera's drivers don't support windows 10 for whatever reason, you can just remove the SD card from the camera and plug into into the computers SD port (or a USB to SD bridge if you don't have one).
