Hello, my name is Morgan. I am of Native American and German descent. I am a devil's advocate on most issues, since everyone has their own perspective on things. To say something is an injustice should make you question justice, and the roots of equality and fairness. I want a fair society, not an equal one. I also support activism, as long as you don't see something you are against as a beast and yourself as a victim. Activism is about standing for what is right, so you must believe you are right. If you have to use emotions rather than logic, your cause is already lost.

  • What is there to practice on guitar?

I am starting to create a practice routine, since I am starting to get serious about playing guitar, but I feel very underwhelmed by what I practice now. I practice the Chromatic scale, the Minor pentatonic scale, I can do a ton of chords and chord progressions, barre chords, fingerstyle exercises, lead guitar exercises, a couple of songs, but that's is it.

As you can see I have little to practice, so I am getting bored. What else can I do to incorporate into my routine (Please give a LOT of suggestions, since I want to do an 8-day cycle routine) and maybe good guitar practice habits, like using a metronome or timer. Any suggestion is appreciated, and all tips are welcome. Links to any free practice generator are good.

If it helps, my goals are to attain a better technique, play with as little mistakes possible, and have a flexible enough routine that helps encompass all styles. Mainly, I want to play folk and blues, with a little bit of rock n' roll and classical. Folk first.

  • What fingerpicking songs on guitar use all 6 strings?

I'm trying to get better at fingerpicking after picking up the guitar again. The songs I am looking for are folk, blues, or whatever sounds nice when picked. I don't need all 6 strings used, just the first three strings need to be used frequently, since it is still awkward to use the ring finger for me. So far I have only played two songs that use those strings frequently ("Here Comes the Sun"-George Harrison, "Blackbird"-The Beatles)

A couple of easy songs and a couple of intermediate songs should be good to incorporate in my practice routine. Maybe even a difficult, but still tackle-able for a novice, would be great too. Thanks for reading.

  • Would a Vintage Muddy Fox make a good touring bike?

I bought a Vintage Muddy Fox Courier Comp for $60. It is a fixer upper, the gears are harsh and it makes a squeaking sound when you pedal. I am not good with bikes, so I don't know where the sound comes from. But it works very well.

The description of what it takes to be a touring bike (Solid Frame, the geometry, etc.) is great, but like I said, I am not too good with bikes. I am trying to make a budget touring bike, and so far I am doing well. But I have this feeling that the bike I chose isn't the right decision.

I thought I may get an expert's opinion.

  • Should Christie help Weiner become mayor?

Weiner is hated by the Clinton's, but is very close since his wife is an aide to Hillary. A very close aide. If Christie were to help Weiner become mayor, it would indirectly bring more scandal to the Clintons, who are the guaranteed candidates for the next presidential election. Namely Hillary. Of Weiner were mayor, he would be very scandalous. No doubt. After the correlation to the Clintons and Scandal is revealed (again) a republican would win the election.

Not that it is really improbable a republican would be elected next election, but scandals like this, added to Benghazi, would be the nail in the coffin for the only competitive candidate for the Democratic Party. Plus, Christie is revered among democrats for being close to Obama, so it seems less suspicious when Christie helps Carlos Danger in office. It also destroys NYC in the process (Weiner would be a terrible mayor.) Which opens up the door to a republican Mayor for NYC.

    Weiner destroys the Clintons

    NYC Mayor likely republican

    President guaranteed republican

    Win-Win-Win.

  • Who is your top 10 worst people in A Song of Ice and Fire? [Spoilers]?

Now, these aren't the "most hated" forums where you hate Irri or Jhiqui because they are annoying. This is a "worst people" commentary, with people who kill senselessly and don't regard anybody with worth except their own. Sorry, this category may not fit Cersei or Littlefinger, but you can choose. You should also state why you think they are horrible people.

    My Example:

    1. Ramsay Snow - Tortures Theon and gives his servants cruel riddles to test their loyalty. He flays and kills women he kidnaps, rapes them, and pretty much is an all-around monster. Even worse, he threatened Jon Snow and the whole Night's Watch to give his wife and Theon back. He is the only character I cringed at in real life. I can only imagine the things Theon doesn't know about Ramsay. He makes everyone else on this list look like Saints.

    2. King Aerys - As Jaime said, he was going to burn down King's Landing so he wouldn't lose a battle, he also killed Eddard's Brother and Father without further reason than suspicion.

    3. Ser Gregor Clegane - Gregor, like his brother, kills way too many innocent people and doesn't care. Unlike his brother, his kill count includes babies and villages. The dude killed people for no reason because they snored. He was a brute. Thankfully he died. Sadly, Qyburn resurrected him.

4: Qyburn - I like Qyburn as a character. He is smart, insightful, and wise. I thought he was like a Maester Aemon but for Cersei, which was good. But after I found out he dissected living bodies to see how people died, I was horrified. He immediately became one of my least liked characters.

    5. Euron Greyjoy- I have very reasonable suspicion he is affiliated with the house of the undying, and that itself makes him a dick. In addition to being a sorcerer of sorts, he is ironborn, which means he kills people willy-nilly. After becoming king or the iron islands (I would have preferred Victarion be king than Euron) he goes after Dany. This guy is going to ruin everything.

    6. Joffrey- This kid is nothing more than a spoiled brat that wasn't disciplined properly due to Cersei being protective of her and Jaime's first creation. If he would have been beaten more by king Robert, he wouldn't have been such a twerp. He beat his brother, and Sansa, and beheaded Eddard for a crime he should have only went to the Night's Watch for.

    7. Rorge- Rorge is the most vile character in the series who is of no political influence. He isn't a knight, maester, nobility, he is just a horrible person. After abusing Arya, beating Jaime, and being very likely to be the one everybody mistook for Sandor Clegane during a massacre at the Saltpans, I came to the conclusion that Rorge is proof that you don't have to be powerful to be cruel.

    8. Melisandre- Unlike a lot of people, I think Melisandre is a good character with good intentions. I think Jon Snow's "death" at the end of A Dance With Dragons was Melisandre's doing, trying to give him a godly blessing akin to what Moqorro did to Victarion Greyjoy's hand. But she does burn people alive and has dark magic that can kill Renly, but doesn't use it to kill anyone else.

    9. Hizdahr Zo Loraq: I firmly believe he is the harpy, or very deep into the sons of the harpy. I think that's a given, and because of that, he is directly and indirectly responsible for hundreds of deaths for hundreds of devout followers of Daenerys.

    10. Walder Frey- Probably one of the most hated people on the show, he truly is a terrible person. Someone said they will marry your daughter, but married a different woman instead? Kill him and his family. That sounds fair, right? He is just a power hungry sot who will get what's coming to him.

    Now you try.

  • How do I ignite emotion in my life?

I realized after someone made a Facebook post that I have no idea about what to do with my life. The Facebook post read, "After thinking, I had no idea what do with my life. After an S2S conference at DC, I met a woman who works at USC. We talked, and now I feel that I had an innermost passion for film and photography! Applying for USC, hopefully I get in!"

My goals right now are null. I have no passion, no love for anything. The girl above is in the same grade as me (Junior) and has part of her life figured out. Me? I have no clue. I don't really mind going to college, because to me it is free since I am 1/8th Pueblo Indian, and the number of scholarships on that alone may pay for college, or enough to buy me time to write essays for more scholarships. My problem isn't college, but what to do when I'm in college. I never really loved any subject, ever.

After thinking about how I don't like any subject or profession, I realized I never truly loved anything. My family was never close to me, my friends always seem to be liabilities, and I never was attracted to any woman. I never was hurt enough to cry, or be angry either. Now that I think of it, I was also never genuinely happy about anything.

I need a wake up call, something that makes me happy, sad, angry, passionate, whatever. I might have a problem, and I want to fix it. Is there any treatment, any therapy or routine that will make me feel emotional? Or a certain movie or book? Possibly even a diet? Anything would be nice.

  • I killed a spider in my house, what species is it? (Detailed description)?

I was sitting, reading an ebook on my floor, and felt a tingle on my arm. It felt light, like a common tingle or a moth. I disregarded it for a while, until it climbed on my arm and saw it was a spider.

The spider was a pale white or gray, about an inch wide including legs, and two inches long in body. I live in an exurb outside Colorado Springs. The climate is usually dry, but today it was rainy. Maybe he wanted to come inside for shelter? I looked online and no real answers showed up. The legs were pretty short and the body was long and thick. I couldn't get a good look at it, so the description may be just a little off. The blood though, was a brownish red. I saw it on the floor, it may have come from under my bed(1) or my bookshelf. I cannot find the body, so my description isn't truly confirmed. It also seemed to be attracted by light, because my whole room was dark except for my ebook and it wasn't afraid of crawling on my arm, which was moving at the time. It didn't bite me, but I want to know if it was poisonous and how common it is in Colorado.

If you could make a list of any spiders that may fit my description, I would be grateful. The most reliable description I have is the color and attraction to light. The rest was quick thinking and speculation.

Thanks a lot for your help.

  • RHH: Does Yeezus sound like an Odd Future album to you?

Kanye has been friends with Tyler since Yonkers, and Kanye has been a fan. Yeezus to me sounds like Kanye is trying to pull an odd future style production, and sounds almost as edgy (by edgy I mean outright ignorant and sexy, like Chief Keef, who was featured on the album.)

MCHG sounds like an album pooped out by Gay-Z after he ate Penis, took corporate laxatives, and *Bloop*... MCHG was born. The name is deceiving as fu<k. I thought it would be like a mos-def album or something, because Kanye seemed to not care about critics at the time, or radio. Maybe Jay-Z didn't, nope.

    Tl;dr Jay-Z sucks Kanye's equally black penis.

  • Where do I start if I want to draw manga? Any websites/links that can help?

I want to get into art, but comic book style (American) is either really easy, or really difficult depending on whose style you want to imitate. Manga doesn't seem easy, but it sorta is (My friend said you don't need much training. Within two days you can make decent drawings.) but the style is very much the same. Of course Manga and anime has different styles, but from what I see, they are similar.

I don't want to make any generalizations, though I just did, but I just want to draw somrthing that isn't nothing. I draw out my name, maybe an animal, but nothing else. I want to expand my drawing just for the hell of it.

Any websites with good tutorials or instructions will be appreciated.

  • Church and state. Lets keep them together!!!?

Now that I have your attention...

After reading, "The Prince", I realized Machiavelli refers to The Church as a political faction. He compares popes to kings and lords, and usually bundles them up as people of great influence on the state. My question is, church and state have always been together, and always will be, why would people try to eliminate the good values from the church [1] to pursue a, "free state"?

Elaboration(Warning, rant): I'm speaking from a perfectly levelheaded position, and will not disclose my opinion on the matter. I can say about most issues about religion and politics bore me and I can care less.

[1] The good values of the church are things like abstinence and traditional marriage. These are not necessarily good, but are things in the bible that don't involve death or stoning. Traditional marriage and the state go perfectly with each other because heterosexual couples can reproduce and expand the state. Abstinence and the state also go well, since you have to get married before you have children. This is great for the state because if you can afford a wedding, or parents have enough money, you are financially independent and don't have to live off the government's money. It makes sense to have a job and a stable life before you have a child. These values may not be good morally, but everyone wins. Why? Gays don't lose because they can't marry, they lose because they refuse to reproduce. This sounds very insensitive, (Because it is, they don't choose to be gay, so they should be treated equally. But life isn't fair to anyone.) but they can still love without marriage. They want marriage for the same benefits as heterosexual couples, like tax cuts. On the other hand, why should they get it? They do not bear children, so they adopt. They choose to adopt, so they should calculate how much money it costs to adopt. They should receive benefits for adopting, but it should also be considered that it was their choice to adopt, so they shouldn't get a discount.

The deal with abstinence is pretty simple, don't risk having a kid until you can support it. It should be obvious, but with condoms and birth control kids think they are guaranteed to not have kids. Condoms break, birth control wears off, and many babies have to be given off to adoption because kids are too horny. A lot of women have gotten pregnant thinking that birth control lasts longer than a week. Many boys get women pregnant thinking the spermicidal residue on condoms can let them have a second screw without needing a condom. Don't get me started on teens who think pulling out is an effective method. Kids make mistakes, and babies are a result of that.

Abortions are a completely different issue. That is mainly a church's agenda, to preserve a kid's life. The state still dabbles in it though, and allows it. That should be enough to make the Christian-America relationship crumble, but it doesn't. The state supports many of the Church's actions, and in return the church helps the state. This relationship helped America for generations. Even of our founding fathers were Deist and Atheist, our sustainers of culture have been Christians. Some of the values above may be morally wrong, or just inconsiderate. But when you're talking about the mass, it helps out most people in the future. This can obviously be debated, like gay marriage and adoption. A gay couple may not be able to conceive a child, but they can raise one. But the state as a whole really doesn't care about the population of kids being raised, they just care about the population that's loyal to them.

  • What is covered in precalculus?

I want to study precalculus over July so I can skip it. I know you may say, " it's better to absorb the information slowly" but math classes are too slow for me anyways. And, since I have a free period next year, I'll study math more thoroughly. Plus, the calculus class in my school cover precalc ideas more thoroughly than precalc, while precalc gives you the skeleton. I already took a college algebra class too, which was basically precalc without trigonometry and intended for seniors. I'm a sophomore-come-Junior. I don't want to take the same class three times in a row, I do want to be good at math though.

Please list the subject covered in precalc, possibly with links.

  • Atheists, how do you view war and religion?

Prior to the 1960s, war was considered to be the product of industrialized nations and civilizations. It was thought that civilizations fighting for territory and religion were the only wars ever fought. The first wars were for territory, and when more religions sprouted up, there were wars over religions. Anthropologists thought that tribes and villages were peaceful, and were not affiliated with a warfare culture. All tribes they encountered were relatively peaceful, and were even compliant to researchers.

    They were wrong.

Small tribes had to be gathering resources, hunting and gathering were the primary focus. But, once a tribe has gotten big, say a couple villages, resources plentiful, and population stable, the culture shifts. All of the tribes researched prior to the 60s had some sort of intervention with civilized society. In fact, there was evidence that tribes were violent, like the Sioux, Cherokee, and Utes. But those examples weren't ever used to prove that even tribes had warring states. In fact, they were blatantly disregarded as proof. (That pisses me off, since I myself am 1/4 Native American, Pueblo Indian, so they didn't disregard my ancestry, but still offended.) there was no specific reason why this evidence wasn't classified as proof, but I think it was civil unrest toward Native Americans.

The tribe studied which brought this subject up for debate was the Yanomamö tribe. Napoleon Chagnon studied them, totally surprised by their culture. They pretty much adopted civilized culture when the closest form of it was on the opposite side of the globe. South America was full of tribes that faced close to no civilized intervention, but still had wars, culture of honor, similar religions, even the same weapons. The bows and arrows in the Americas were way beyond their time, and more efficient than the firearms made until the late 1800s. Clubs they made were similar to maces, and blades they made were very sharp and help edges after impact, like primitive swords.

The Yanomamö wars were primarily over women, the Men were concerned with honor, and had a sort of culture based off of reputation and nobility. This organization was so similar to feudal Europe, it inspire Napoleon Chagnon to name the book he wrote about the Yanomamö, "Noble Savages".

Wars are fought for many reasons, but the most profound reason they are fought is for religion. The Crusades and the constant wars between Spain, France, and England were over Christianity. Wars over Jihad are being fought today in the Middle East. Nearly every religion has been fought over, even Buddhism. Hell, if you consider Atheism a religion, it also has a substantial kill count, among the highest, but Atheists have always been stubborn in claiming Atheism is not a religion, but that is for another time. My point is, even atheism isn't immune to wars fueled by belief.

But war has been proven to be a catalyst in innovation. Anthropologists still debate whether which was made first, weapons or tools? Tools would make sense, but weapons make more sense. The fact is, weapons made for killing game and rival tribes were tweaked to become tools, or something vice versa. But that fact alone should prove that innovation is fueled by war.

The most profound and incredible example of this was Nazi Germany. Ever since Adolf Hitler took control of Germany, he built his military up, while spending a lot of money and time researching to make his weapons better. The research done made some of the first ballistic missiles, the most efficient bombs, and the first stealth technology. The easiest way to prove how ahead the nazis were was occasionally the Nazis would bomb warships, and the bombs would be so aerodynamic and so fast that they would often tear through warships and sink into the sea before exploding. The bombs were too aerodynamic and fast for the warships to handle. They also made some of the most dangerous tanks in history, and equally dismal planes. Some even argue that Nazi Germany was only defeated because of the enemies' sheer numbers, Britain, France, the United States, and of course Soviet Russia.

If the world was warless, there would be a strangulation on innovation. Whether it be war on religion or war over territory, war is the mother of innovation, while necessity is the father.
