  • Where can I get this hair claw clip?

Looking for a hair claw clip but one where the "teeth" meet in the middle, rather than overlapping. These are the only ones which can hold my hair up properly. My friend had one she bought in Thailand, which I borrowed, but I can't find one of my own. Anyone know where I can get one in the UK?

  • Camera short circuited - can I get my photos back?

My digital camera got splashed with salt water and short circuited. The camera is unrepairable, but strangely it also seems to have damaged the memory card: it shows no photos and is unreadable on any computer, camera or card reader. Is there a way I can access the photos on that memory card or are they gone for good? Is there someone I can take the card to to look at it? (UK relevent answers only please).

  • How to tone a bod in 10 days.?

I'm fairly fit but stopped going to the gym six weeks ago due to finances pre-Christmas! I am going home to Australia in 10 days and am now feeling wobbly and untoned. I am happy with my weight, but not my wobbly extremities. Is there a good way to tone up quickly and easily within the short time I have left? Ahhhh bikini!!!

  • Infected Root Canal - personal experience?

I had a root canal a year ago but they were unable to get one of the roots out. This year the tooth got chipped so - when I went in for another unrelated filling - the dentist filled the chipped piece. Within a couple of days I was in immense pain and felt like pressure was building inside the tooth. I figured it was infected, so went back to the dentist who gave me antibiotics. However, it's my third day taking them and the pain has not subsided at all. Every night about 3 or 4am I am woken with this excrutiating pressure and pain. I have taken the maximum amount of painkillers I am allowed to take each day just to make it through! Does anyone know from experience whether there is still a chance the antibiotics will start to work, or is this a sign the tooth is just going to have to come out??

  • I've lost my job confidence - help!?

I was made redundant from my job as an admin assistant after two years, and then took a job as an Executive Assistant for a big consulting firm. My confidence had dropped a lot after the redundancy, and being in the heady corporate environment at the second job didn't help - I didn't feel like my usual bubbly self and became timid and withdrawn in the workplace. Feedback from colleagues was that I was very quiet - not like me at all. So after 9 months I quit and got a job in advertising - something I had wanted to do for years!! I am working in a very small office with just my boss and his son, and I love the work, and they are both lovely to work with. The thing is, my confidence is still so low that I constantly question my ability. The girl before me was let go, from what I understand, yet the work she left seemed to be perfectly fine. With no handover, I don't really know how I should be approaching the role, and I spend every day feeling paranoid and anxious. Considering how long I've wanted a job in advertising, I should be coming home every day feeling happy, but I just feel scared that I will be let go. What can I do?

  • Acne scarring on back - how to treat?

My gorgeous husband has acne scarring on his back, which he's had since his early twenties when he had bad acne (that he had to take medication for). He doesn't mention it often but he has said he wishes he didn't have his acne scars, and he still gets spots even now (he's 30). Is there a simple non-invasive treatment to help him get rid of his acne and his acne scars? We're going on a beach holiday next year and it would be nice to give him the option to fix this, if it builds his confidence.

  • Arabian Costume for a woman - (UK ONLY)?

I'm going to a club which is Arabian themed and I need a costume/outfit. I don't want to bare my midriff as most costumes seem to offer, and I don't want to look tarty (again - most women's costumes seem to offer that)!! I want something beautiful though. Creativity welcome!

  • Looking for curb chain, silver/gold plated, in the UK?

I'm making some necklaces for Christmas presents and am looking for a website where I can buy curb chain (preferably silver and gold plated, not cheap metal). It would be best if the chain is sold in 1m or 2m lengths rather than individual chains. Please note it MUST be in the UK. Can anyone advise a website I can buy this from? I've searched through numerous sites via Google but can't quite find what I am looking for!

  • Email address for police station in Rome?

I left my camera in a gelato bar late at night in Rome, but only realised the next morning when I had to fly out to Thailand. I know my chances of getting it back are minimal, but the people working in the bar were very friendly and we were the only customers there at that time, so I would hate to think they found the camera and I didn't try to get it back. I don't remember the name of the place (it was just one of those small places off a side street near the Trevi Fountain) but does anyone know if there is an email address for the police station, where I can check if it was handed in? I'm not naiive enough to expect that would happen in a city where pickpocketing and thefts are rife, but it would surely be worth a try if there is a way.

  • I don't want to work out my full notice period - what can I do?

I've been at my job for 6 months. During this time I wasn't happy here and was in talks with my boss about it, and everyone was very supportive. However, I finally found a new job, in publishing, which has been my dream, and beat 100 applicants for the role! They want me to start in two weeks (they need me asap but that's the latest they can get me to come on board) but my new job are insistant I work my full four weeks notice period. I don't feel my workload is such that I cannot hand it over to one of the in-house temps until they find someone new, but they are being so difficult about it. It's really stressing me out, and all the to-ing and fro-ing probably doesn't look good to my new employer! I resigned almost a week ago, meaning if I get my way I will be leaving in a week. I can't help feeling that the more this drags out without confirmation, the more difficult it will become. I don't want to lose this new position either. On another note too, I found an email from my current boss to HR which seemed to say that he didn't believe that my new work wanted me to start so soon - he must think I am making this up! I am so frustrated now, and it's making my last weeks (however many they may be) very unpleasant and stressful. What can I do?

  • Toning up area of back behind arms?

I have toned arms and exercise regularly, but there is one problem area I have - it's the area of my back, under my arms. I'm not talking about "bingo wings' which are the underside of the arms - I have toned these - it's actually my back, and I have soft bits that stick over the edge of singlet tops or my bikini top. As everything else is reasonably toned it is driving me nuts that I still have these squidgy bits. Any exercises I can do to tone up this area?
