It really doesn't matter. I go to a catholic school so i gues that the fact i wear a uniform makes it easier for me. It's good how you do it now, and I bet i do the same thing. I get hammy downs from older sisters and friends so that helps too. Ask someone you know real well, a cousin or friend that is older that you and ask for some hammydowns. Or just go to really cheap stores and buy clothes there. Or just buy a couple of sweeatshirts and jeans so that way they think you just wear the same sweatshirt and not shirt everyday. But really if you just have a good personallity and be the nicest person you can, peolpe wont care or notice.

Www.burdastyle.com has lots of free patterns. Sure. Because you can't over lock, use a blanket stitch to hem your material. Make sure your material is easy to work with and doesn't slip, of you will go insane trying to sew it. If you're runching your material to make puffy sleeves etc, use two loose tack stitches and pull the material in on itself, like you would a pleat, pin, stitch, fold over and then use a blanket stitch.

I made a costume for a party, and it was Jasmine from Aladdin, a lot like what you're going. I used satin, and another material that I have momentarily forgotten lol (I'll update when I remember).

If you need any more help, of if this was way to confusing, then feel free to email me :)

    Hope I helped :)

Could you help me with mine please? I'm making a strapless dress, and I need some pointers, even if you've never made one I'd still really appreciate it.
