I'm 18 but have been living abroad for the past few years so I haven't been able to get my license. I've been practicing driving for a while now and am doing an online course and then I have a week of classes on the road before I can get my license next month. I want to go visit a friend afterwards but it's a 2 hour drive on the interstate. I'm pretty comfortable driving on highways, but is it a bad idea to do this right after getting my license?

I'm trying to video chat with a friend, but when they call me the video invitation comes up and I click accept but then nothing happens and it just stays on preview... is there a way to fix this?

I just got accepted to George Mason and it says they have an acceptance rate of 53%. JMU is where I really want to go and they have an acceptance rate of 60%. I don't hear back from them until mid-January. Anyways, the thing is I know people who have gotten into GMU and not JMU and I was wondering if the acceptance rates are reliable. Basically, if I got into GMU do you think there's a good chance of getting into JMU?

because the other person's phone is dead... will it deliver/will they receive it when they turn it back on?

So I'm imessaging with some people and it's working just fine, but then I decided to imessage someone else and it isn't delivering. It doesn't have the red exclamation point next to it or anything, so I can't try and re-send it. It just doesn't say "delivered" under it. Why is that happening? Is there a way I can fix it or is it something wrong with their phone?

I'm applying to both James Madison University and the University of Pittsburgh. I was just wondering which one was harder to get into. Also, does it help that I'm a Virginia resident for JMU?

I really really want to go to JMU, but I feel as though my extracurriculars aren't that impressive. Unfortunately I don't really have any leadership roles so I was just wondering if you think these are enough:

- Junior Varsity Soccer (9,10)

- Varsity Soccer (11, 12)

- Kids Home Club (11, 12) <-- (Help orphaned kids in Thailand)

- India Club (11, 12) <-- (Fundraise for an impoverished school in India)

- French Tutor (11, 12)

- Math Tutor (12)

- Kalahari Education Experience (11) <-- (The whole school year we prepared for a trip to South Africa which we took for two weeks in June where we taught South African children English in order to help them pass their final exams and go on to the next grade)

I saw this written on a wall in Spain and was just curious what it meant.

So I started taking birth control a little over a month ago but two days before I finished my first pack (of 21 pills) my period started, which was annoying because I was planning on skipping this month's period. I think its possible it was because I was taking antibiotics for my skin because I've heard they sometimes make the pill ineffective. So I stopped taking my antibiotics and continued my birth control and my period stopped a day or so later. Now I'm on the fourth day of a new pack and I woke up this morning and my period has started... I'm so confused as to how that happened. If I just keep taking my bc pills will it go away? Should I switch to a different brand?

I really really want to go to JMU, but I'm kind of scared I won't get in. I'm currently a junior. I have Virginia residency, but I've been living abroad going to an American high school in France for the past three years. I'm staying here for my senior year as well. I received very poor grades freshman and sophomore years. This year I've been working a lot harder, but they're still not as good as I'd like them to be. I'll probably end up with a 3.7 for this semester. This year I took regular environmental science and algebra 2. I also took IB Psychology, AP Language & Composition, AP French 5 (I was in French 3 last year and skipped a level), and I also decided to start Spanish 1. I'll be doing a spanish program in spain this summer to improve my spanish before I start spanish 2 next year. Next year I'll be taking AP environmental science, AP literature, AP Stats, IB Psych (it's a 2 year course), and Spanish 2. Unfortunately I haven't really been that involved in extracurriculars. I played JV soccer freshman and sophomore year and this year I was on varsity and I'll be on varsity soccer again next year. I am part of club at school that has been raising money for kids in africa and we're going there for two weeks this summer to teach them english. I'll be a member of that club again next year.

Also I just got back my SAT scores and received an overall score of 2030.

I got a 700 in writing, a 700 in critical reading, and a 630 in math. Do you think that's a good score?

Anyways basically what I'm asking is do you think I have a good chance of getting into JMU?

So this girl from school found out my tumblr url and she's been looking at it. The thing is I post really personal stuff on there and I really don't want anyone I know to see it. She doesn't have a tumblr... is there anyway to stop her from seeing it or change my url without losing my followers or anything that I've posted?

And how do you become tumblr famous?

So everyday I try to eat 1200-1300 calories. I always feel really good if I go a day where I have like 800. If I eat any more than that I feel super guilty and will either have a few really bad days of eating where I just eat until I feel sick because I feel like a failure that has no will power. If I don't do that, I just start being restrictive again and count every calorie. I log everything that I eat. I hate the feeling of being full, especially when I'm lying in bed and I feel bloated or something. And occasionally to get rid of that feeling I'll throw up a little... and I'll check my body every morning and night or whenever I'm in front of a mirror. Also I measure everywhere. My friend thinks I have an "eating disorder: not otherwise specified." Meaning I don't fit into either category for anorexia nor bulimia. I just think that I want to lose weight and its important to me... It's pretty much all I think about though. I can't wear shorts because I obsess over the thought of people looking at my leg fat jiggling and thinking I'm fat, etc. I've lost about 8 pounds and hope to continue!

So what do you think?

I'm visiting my hometown (I moved away) and I started having this thing with a guy but then he started acting distant after a few days of hanging out/sneaking out/hooking up. I'm trying to figure out why. I asked before and he said it was because he liked me but I'm leaving soon and he doesn't know what to do when I leave. Then that night we hung out and made out and stuff. But then he started acting distant again and we haven't really talked. One of my friends thinks he's just saying that because he's afraid I'm going to get attached and want something from him after I'm gone.

So do you think he actually likes me and is afraid of getting attached and then me leaving like he said? Because all I wanted was to have a good time with him while I'm here. Or do you think he thinks I'm going to get attached and doesn't want me to expect anything from him. Or has he just plain lost interest in me?
