Which school is harder to get into? JMU or University of Pittsburgh?
I'm applying to both James Madison University and the University of Pittsburgh. I was just wondering which one was harder to get into. Also, does it help that I'm a Virginia resident for JMU?

Pitt is an excellent school - no question about that.
However, for a Bachelors degree, JMU, GMU, ODU are all superb and much less expensive
and in-state applicants do get a preference in admissions

James Madison U is by far the better school for undergraduate education. JMU scores an very creditable "B" rating by ACTA and is named one the ACTA's "hidden gems" among USA colleges.
U off Pittsburgh—Pittsburgh rates a substandard "D" because the school places little emphasis on "comprehensive general education."

Pitt might be a little harder for you, since it is out of state and it really is an excellent school. It has many great programs too. JMU is good, but you are in-state to them....

Well, i couldn't tell you about Fordham, however i'll conveniently point out that due to UPMC, Pittsburgh has one of the crucial satisfactory med faculties within the country, and it is rather complicated to get in. However they're absolutely slightly more more likely to let you in in case your pre-med measure is from Pitt.
