Is james madison or george mason university harder to get into?
I just got accepted to George Mason and it says they have an acceptance rate of 53%. JMU is where I really want to go and they have an acceptance rate of 60%. I don't hear back from them until mid-January. Anyways, the thing is I know people who have gotten into GMU and not JMU and I was wondering if the acceptance rates are reliable. Basically, if I got into GMU do you think there's a good chance of getting into JMU?

acceptance rates can be misleading.
they are identical in sat score stats and almost identical in gpa, JM has a slightly higher average gpa though.
impossible to chance u without unweighted gpa and sat/act scores

I live 5 minutes away from George Mason and I got in there too. Its a commuter school and has NO SOCIAL LIFE! High schoolers attend the parties there. The institution is ok in academics they have a pretty good law professor that teaches there, and they have an ok business program. If you want the full college experience and not just a mediocre academic program go to TECH! People in my area go to Mason because they couldn't get in to JMU or UVA or VT. If you got in to any of those three go there!
