What kind of job can I get with a chemistry minor, considering that my major has nothing to do with it (music)? I don't want to double major or give up either music or chemistry, but if I have to take additional training for a specific job I don't mind (yet). I've thought about lab technician (medical, pharmaceutical, etc)? Do I need to have a degree for those? Any other ideas?

I love chemistry and I've always wanted to be a forensic scientist but I grew up playing violin and I've been involved in a lot of musical activities so lately I've been thinking about becoming a music teacher as well (especially conducting).

I don't think I'll be capable of double majoring, but as musicians can be admitted into medical school, do you it would be possible to major in music but also complete the prerequisites to get into a graduate program for forensics? And while I'm at it, what are some of the general prerequisites?

If this isn't possible, I would appreciate any alternative ways to pursue a career in both music and chemistry, though they seem to be an odd combination. :)

I'm arranging a piece, and there's a part that I want to speed up a bit, and I've used "poco accelerando". In the next measure, I want it to be the tempo that the "accelerando" has reached by then, so it's not speeding up anymore but it's not the original tempo either, if that makes sense. Is there a specific terminology for this? I've seen it somewhere so I know it's not non-existent, but I can't remember what it was...

I cropped my jeans to make them into shorts and now I have leftover jean scraps that I don't know what to do with. I'm not a big fan of sewing, so if you have any DIY ideas that don't require a ton of sewing, I would appreciate it if you suggested something! Things that could be used for gifts would be awesome. Specific links to tutorials would be helpful. :) Thanks!

Trying to decide which case to get: Bobelock violin case 1017 or 6002?

Obviously, the 1017 is probably better quality since it's more expensive and supposedly has more features... but I keep thinking to myself if those extra things are necessary. Maybe if the suspension system is significantly better in the 1017 or something, I would pay up for that. Otherwise, I think I'm leaning towards the 6002. Cheaper, lighter, also has suspension, etc. I'm not looking for anything super professional; just something that has suspension and is durable.

If anyone have either of these cases, a similar case, or has seen/used/tried either of these cases please tell me why you like/dislike the case :) Thanks in advance!

ps. just to let you know, if it is a similar case, my price range is around $200-$300.

I tried saving edited photos and photo collages (made on computer at home) to my SD memory card, but when I go to print photos at places like Walmart or Costco, the edited photos/collages are not displayed when I'm choosing which photos to print. My camera only shoots in JPEG; does printing edited photos only work with RAW? I also heard that you can print photos if you save them to a USB or a different source, but will that make any difference, 'cause isn't it just the same file on a different type of source? Is there a way to print edited photos without having to send in the order online, if this method even works?

Note: I use GIMP to edit my photos

I wanna epilate my legs, but epilators are so darn expensive! I've seen facial ones that are, like $25, while the other ones are $70. Is it okay to use a facial epilator for my legs? What are the differences between facial and normal epilators (besides the length of time it takes to epilate, and that one is meant for facial hair and one is not)?

We're kitty-sitting a cat (Meowers), and one of our cats attacked him while we weren't there. I wasn't able to have a good close look at the injury (for various reasons, the story's too long to tell) but his back left leg's fur seemed to be skinned and it's damp with blood. we've put him in his cat crate with a blanket, food, and water. *I'm sorry to say that we can't afford to pay vet bills*. Right now, we're letting him be since animals heal faster than humans, and as soon as our neighbor's back from vacation we're gonna have him take a look (he's a doctor). but is there anything else that we can do? he eats Kirkland Premium Source Maintenance Cat food, if that helps.

I have a barn cat (Lily), and she was supposed to have kittens about a month ago (her 4th litter). one day we knew she had her kittens but we couldnt find them so we thought they didn't survive. A week ago, I saw a kitten following her around (Smurfette), so I thought, "Only one must've survived and Lily was hiding her to protect her." a couple days later, my neighbor found 4 more of Lily's kittens, hungry n starving, in their shed. So i took them home and brought them to Lily but she didn't nurse them properly! She sat in the box for about a minute then she came out and sat in her fave spot to sit. I brought the kittens to her, she walked away. I brought just one kitten to her, and she nursed him for a few minutes then walked away again, but she nurses Smurfette properly. Later, she began nursing all the kittens but whenever she got distracted she walked away, and still does that. the 4 kittens are underweight compared to Smurfette. Could it be that Lily doesn't have enough milk for all of them? is it due to her age (4 yrs)? Is there anything that I can do to restore the kittens' health?

One more question: one of the kittens walked straight into the wall. he wasn't running, he was walking and he just bumped into the wall. He was really hungry at that time, so is it because of his hunger that he wasn't able to concentrate, or does he have a chance of eyesight problems?

I just need some tips ... (btw, i'm not gonna tell you my age, but i'm in the 13 - 15 area, so nothing like sex or kissing or dating or anything inappropriate, please.)

I'll be visiting my old friends, like maybe once every other week or so, but I know my friends think i'm annoying (i don't exactly know why) and I'm just worried that when I come back they aren't gonna appreciate me. I wanna tell them about how i'm doing at my new school but I don't wanna sound like I'm bragging or i'm desperate.

Connecting to that, i'm not a girly girl. i'm an outgoing and optimistic person who's leaning towards the traits of a tomboy. and i'd rather hang out with boys (NOT dating, just as friends) and be athletic and act weird and stuff. but maybe some girl friends too. my best friend is able to do this and I don't know how! GUYS: if you're around the age of 13 - 15 and if a girl wanted to be your friend, how would you expect her to act so that she would be your friend? GIRLS: if you're friends with guys, how do you become friends with them? do you have to be confident?

My cat, Fibbles, is a barn cat but once in a while we let him inside during the winter (along with our other cats). Ever since last year, our neighbor's bunnies have been breeding constantly, and we found out that Fibbles was eating them all. We thought we could handle it but today, we tried grounding Fibbles and just keeping him inside, but when i came to give him a treat about 15 minutes after he'd been confined, he bolted out the door as soon as I opened it and he refuses to go back inside. Please don't say something about reporting to the SPCA or sending Fibbles to the animal shelter or tying him up because he has lifetime friends living with him and he'd hate to leave and he can't be tied up because he's already freaked that he can't have freedom if he's kept indoors, tying him up will be worse. is there, like, something that cats hate that we could line the neighbor's fence with so that Fibbles can't get over?

I'm transferring to a different school, and I've got some things i want to do before I leave, but some of these things I need some advice .... and for each answer, please answer based on what YOU would do, not what you think should happen.

first, I've got a friend on which our friendship is falling apart. we get along way~ better in person than on email. she's been acting her usual self except more extreme, so more annoying, more dramatic, more selfish, more rude. so should I give her a proper "good bye" and a good bye gift that i'm giving all my other friends? and also, how would you deal with this person? she doesn't think deeply, she just wants to win and tries to defend her side with whatever comes off the top of her head, but they're pathetic defenses, but she refuses to lose.

My best friend is also transferring, and we promised each other that I would tell her crush and she would tell my crush that we had crushes on them. so, what should I say to her crush? (our school is a pretty giggly and laughy school, so it would be best if it weren't too awkward.)

when i go to my new school, what should I do to fit in as fast as possible, and make lots of friends without having to pretend (b/c I had to do that with myself at my current school b/c i've been here for so long I don't want people talking behind my backs, saying things about how I changed so much, etc.)

also, i'm a teen and yes i still like to hang out with my friends on my birthday, but i want it to be the best birthday party ever because it'll be the last one i'll have with my old friends and i want it to be something that everyone will enjoy and that everyone will remember, but it's just gonna be at home. (home is the best place on earth.) any ideas?

Do you prefer Colgate or Crest toothpaste, and for what reasons?
