  • Custodial parent moved out of state with 19 year old son. Does child support get reordered? Legal standing of this?

Since 2001, I have been paying child support for my son out of an order from the Massachusetts courts. A few years later in 2005, the custodial parent moved to New Hampshire but the child support order stayed the same. In 2016, the child turned 18 but the child support continued the same. I also was told under Massachusetts law, child support continues until the age of 21. The child was living in New Hampshire at this time. Now the child is 19 and the custodial parent has moved, with no notification to me, to Texas. What are my legal options on this child support order? I have paid every week for the past 16 years on time and have no arrears. Thank you.

  • What state is in charge of child support modifications? The state the original order was made or the state the child is currently living?

Back in 2000, a court order for child support was made in the state of Massachusetts. For the past 16 years I have been paying every week, on time. I have no arrears.

About 11 years ago the custodial parent and my son moved out of state from Mass to New Hampshire. My son is going to be turning 18 at the end of April. I received a letter from the Massachusetts child support division saying the child support will continue until 2019.

Since my son and his mom do not live in that state anymore, can I ask for the court order to be transferred to New Hampshire? New Hampshire, I believe, stops child support at the age of 18 or after high school graduation. Who would I contact about this?

  • Why would a girlfriend tell you she needs space and three days later want to be more close and affectionate then ever before?

My girlfriend and I have been together for almost 7 months and it has been amazing. We are both very much in love with each other and have both told each other how wonderful we feel to be with each other. I spent a whole week with her during the Christmas season through the New Year weekend and we had a great time together. About a week ago she calls me and out of nowhere tells me she feels smothered and needs space. This absolutely devastated me because there was no warning about this. She insisted it would be ok and she just needs time. I was crushed and heartbroken. Just a background on her.....her last few bfs have treated her horribly and were very contrllong of her. She has told me that I am the first guy in her life to love and honor her the way I do. Now three days after she tells me she needs space and time she invites me over, says she misses me, sends affectionate texts, tells me she loves me all the time. What is going on here?? Should I just let it go or should I ask about the whole "I need space" thing?

  • How many possible combinations for a machine that packs bottles into boxes?

There is a machine that packs groups of bottles in to boxes. The machine is made up of three parts. A revolving chain that has 39 sections for an empty box, a revolving belt with 14 pads that section off each group of bottles and a revolving chain consisting of 9 pushers that push each group of bottles off the pads and into the empty box lined up with it. 39 box spaces, 14 pads, 9 pushers. All three sections move in sync and can not be moved individually.

So here is my question.....If I start the machine so pusher #1 pushes the bottles off of pad #1 into box #1 and the machine runs uninterrupted, how many boxes will be filled until all three sections line up 1,1,1 again? And when it does, does this mean the machine has gone through every possible box, pad, pusher combination?

  • Why are the sides of my cable tv picture cutoff?

This has been very difficult to explain so I'll try my best. Suppose a network like NBC or CBS is broadcasting a picture of the alphabet, A B C D E F......all the way to Z in a straight line. When I see it on my TV, all I see is D to W; both sides are cut. The zoom is not on and the cable box has no settings to be changed. The box is a small adapter box; not a big DVR type bulky thing. One cable in, one cable out. How do I see the whole picture?

  • Catholics, so where is Mary's physical body?

I was raised Catholic as a child and one teaching I could never understand was the one about Jesus' earthly mother, Mary (I don't use the term "virgin" because she did have other children, therefore would not be a virgin) being taken up to heaven body and soul. I've looked all over in the Bible and can not find any mention of this at all. I did further research and found that this teaching was based on a story that was passed down through the years and in 1950 Pope Pius XII used his "infalibility" rule to say this "assumption of Mary" really happened. He did it because the Bible says nothing about it. It's the only time a pope has ever used his "I'm right no matter what so don't even think of questioning me" infalability rule, seems kind of odd. Do Catholics believe the Bible or not? Do they believe the Bible plus any story somebody tells them? Where is Mary's body?

  • Do these symptoms warrant medication?

I have been feeling very frustrated at everything. Work, social, marriage, everyday tasks. I hate being around any stressful situation, especially ones that don't directly involve me; example...other people arguing near me. Makes me very uncomfortable. I feel very hopeless and sometimes even sad that I make myself sick. I used to be full of energy to do stuff and now all i want to do is sleep sleep sleep. I work all the time and the time I'm not working I'm either sleeping or doing chores. Just feel down and nervous.

  • Torn between my heart and mind?

I am 32 years old, been married to the same woman for the past nine years and we have two beautiful children together...8 and 6. The past 4 years have been very down, very hurtful, with very little if any marital bliss. I have been called ugly, hideous...no other woman would ever want you. My wife would tell me she's the only one that would even give me the time of day. I have been feeling a sense of void and emptiness in the space that once was filled with what I hoped was sincere love from my wife who I loved dearly. Within the past month I crossed paths with a wonderful woman in a moment of fate that I can not ignore. Neither one of us were "looking" for anyone, we didn't "hook up" at a club or a bar. We just literally crossed paths. Now, my wife has been trying deseratley to change her ways of hurting me but I can't get over the feelings of this new woman. This is a feeling I have never in my entire life have ever experienced. Its a feeling a a true connection. I've had "new" relationships and I know what tjhe "new" feeling is like and this is different. I've been hurt and programmed to think I'm no good and now someone has come into my life who can't stop smiling when she's with me. What do I do......I don't want to make the wrong decision and regret it for the rest of my life. Do I stay with my wife who has done this to me the past 4 years and now at the drop of a hat is deciding to change for the better or do I pursue what I feel is making me happy inside. Help!! A family is depending on this.

  • Do you think Nancy saw it coming at the end of Season 5 of Weeds?

Just hooked up Showtime and have watched a marathon of every episode of Weeds. The show is great! I present a question to my fellow Botwin followers....At the climax of season 5 when Shane bashed Pilars head in at the pool do you think Nancy saw it about to happen. All of us at home had Nancy's point of view of Pilar at a close angle but the area that they were in was very open, it was a pool deck. I can't see how Nancy, unless she had a bad case of extreme tunnel vision could not have seen Shane approaching with the croquet mallet. Anyone have any opinions on this

P.S. I laugh everytime Nancy tries to discpline Shane.....the spanking for KILLING someone was priceless..

  • What do you think of my letter to Joe Barton?

This is the letter I sent to Joe Barton in regards to his comments during the BP hearing.

    Mister Barton,

I usually don't bother with the "politics" of government because I have better things to do with my time. However, during the past months I have been paying close attention to the governments response to the devastating oil spill occurring in the waters of the gulf. It saddens me to watch all that life choking crude gush from the seabed. However, what sickens me even more is to see a member of my congress, democrat or republican, have the audacity to apologize to the company that was responsible for not only this ongoing environmental disaster that even my children won't see the end of but also the tragic unnecessary deaths of eleven working Americans. Was the statement that you made prepared or was it just "off the cuff"? Were you aware of the retaliation for being so indifferent to the suffering of the gulf people? Do you even care for people who have lost their jobs, their land, their entire way of life? If Americans ever needed a reaffirming statement to say that Republicans have their money hungry hands in the deep overflowing pockets of "Big Oil" you sir gave all of us that statement yesterday. For all you've done during your career as a member of the U.S. government, be it positive or negative, you will always be remembered for the terrible and downright idiotic words you said on Capitol Hill yesterday. You should be ashamed. America is based on the hard working paycheck to paycheck family......not the greedy fat hog that is you. The people of the gulf deserve every penny that BP has and more. You, Mr. Barton, are a very bad person.

    Mr. Dion H.

How does everyone else feel about his response to this disaster?

  • Pulp Fiction question that is not about the contents of the briefcase....?

Pulp Fiction is one of my favorite movies and I know everyone is always asking about the briefcase....well, I really don't care about the briefcase. There's something else that has always been bugging me about Winston Wolf. Where was he and why was he so dressed up at 8:00 in the morning when he got the call about the "situation" with Jules and Vincent? The dude was in a full tuxedo! I've never seen anybody question that logic.......a tuxedo?? that early in the morning??

  • Remember when oil conservation was a big deal?

Remember when we used to hear all that talk about how the earth is running out of oil and that we should conserve and find new energy sources...remember that? That BP pipe has been leaking.....no....GUSHING oil out of it for over a month and nobody, BP or the United States, is doing anything with any sense of urgency to stop it. Now they said its going to be like this until August.....I guess oil and energy conservation isn't that big a deal. Thoughts on the matter?

  • Girls sick of "Twilight"?

Are there any girls who have gone from "crazy over Twilight!" to "Twilight? That's soooo dumb". I ask this because as with any cultural phenomenon after a while it fizzles out. Has "Edward" began his fizzle yet?

  • Can somebody explain this Islamic logic?

Okay, we always hear about the deal with the 72 virgins for those suicide bombers and terrorists who kill all those "infidels" but something doesn't make sense.....and no, it's not the obvious ridiculous aspiration of expecting eternal glory for performing brutal violent acts against other human beings....its the number ...72. Thats it, 72? You want me to be in paradise for eternity and all I get is 72 virgins? I'm here F-O-R-E-V-E-R and a day and all I get is 72 virgins? So lets see; if I "devirginize" one of these virgins once every month....I'd be out of fresh virgins in 6 years. You're in paradise for ETERNITY and you're out of your glorious prize in a short six years! Thats only one girl a month.....most guys will be done in the first week. And thats another thing.....what do the women get? The 72 virgin deal seems to be a little lopsided. While you ponder that, think of this......if the whole basis for the Islamic afterlife is rooted in a guys need to get off then how bad is "paradise" going to smell with all that you know what going on. Because seriously, you didn't expect that suicide bomber to blow himself to kingdom "come" to not be able to as soon as he got there; did you?

  • The best way to pull off this surprise?

My mother was given a week vacation at a Florida villa for her 60th birthday. She thinks it's only going to be her and her husband going but in reality myself, my wife, her two grandaughters, her other son and his girlfriend are going to be down there to meet her at the house to surprise her. Anybody have any fun ideas on how exactly we should do the big reveal? We've been trying to think of the best funniest way.

  • Ugly Americans...why do I have a funny feeling?

Once again Comedy Central gives us an animated show that in my opinion...SUCKS. It's not funny, its not even remotley amusing...it's boring. They use cheap looking animation to try to be hip like South Park but South Park has something else.....humor and plot. Wasn't there another show like this on CC about the cameras in the house with that Superman guy and that Spongebob looking thing? Wonder what ever happened to that? Don't get too close with Ugly Americans......I see "CANCELED" in its future. Why does CC put these shows on??

  • Major plot discrepancy in "The Hangover"?

I recently got around to watching "The Hangover" after sooo many of my friends told me to check it out. I liked it, it was a silly fun movie. However, something just didn't sit right with me and now I figured it out. After the night of debauchery they put Doug up on the roof on his matress as a joke. They wake up, can't remember doing it and as they leave they see the mattress impaled on the statue outside. Fast forward almost two days to the time Stu realizes the windows in Vegas don't ope, yada yada yada....they find Doug on the roof. Everybody laughs, they get married, credits roll...end of story.

But you mean to tell me that nobody from the hotel staff, who obviously know the windows don't open, never went to the roof to try to figure out where the mattress came from? They just saw a mattress that had obviously been thrown from a great height, from a hotel that you can't open the windows from and just thought..."Oh well." I know its just a stupid movie but come on, can these directors give us at least a little credit? Does anyone agree with this plot discrepancy?
