Dream Fight: Mathew Saad Muhammed vs. Michael Spinks?
Saad possessed an iron chin, unlimited stamina and good power. He defended his title 8 times, then lost it to Dwight Qawi. Qawi later lost the title on a close decision to Spinks. I think Spinks is one of the most underrated - and one of greatest light heavyweight champs - in the divisions history.
Would Michaels great boxing skills and explosive jinx get him the win? Or would a prime Saad weather the early storm and get a KO late?

...I was recently hospitalized for 11 days after stones lodged in my ureter caused a very bad infection. About ten days after I was released from the hospital, my creatinine - serum test came back as 2.01 MG/DL. So what does that say about how well - or poorly - my kidneys are functioning?

...Ivan Rodriguez voted into the HOF with only 76 percent of the vote?? 14 time AS. 13 Gold Gloves. 7 Silver sluggers. 1 MVP. His offensive numbers were superb for a backstop. He is on nearly every top ten list of all time greatest MLB catchers, sometimes cracking the top five. I'd have thought 90% would have been way more appropriate.

...the use of the crop (“except for the express purpose of … safety”). How do you think that this will effect thoroughbred racing in Jersey [which is pretty much just Monmouth Park]?
3 AnswersHorse Racing7 months agoI'm looking for obituaries of two prominent thoroughbred horse racing personalities.?
The first is Bob Weems, long time track announcer at Monmouth Park/Turf Paradise. He died soon after his retirement in 1993. The second is a little trickier as he might still be living, but I'm pretty sure I heard he had passed some years ago. This would be trainer Joe Cantey, who trained Belmont winner Temperance Hill.
Thanks.

Also - what do you think his chances are of getting voted in?
3 AnswersBaseball8 months agoDon't you think that Jim Kaat deserves serious consideration for the HOF?
His lack of a Cy Young hurts, but if baseball had an award for each league in 1966, he probably would have won it. The award was given to Koufax that year.
What do you think, yes or no?

I was under the impression that bugs of this sort were only native to warmer climes. Can anyone give me some info on these bugs? Thanks.

I remember reading a story that in order to get a bonus for hitting 300 with the Mets in '65, he paid the pitcher $50 for grooving one right down broadway on the last at bat of the year. He singled and finished at .302. Who were the Mets playing and who was the pitcher? Anyone else hear that story?
