According to Baseball Reference, his HOF numbers are fairly close to HOF standards, and over in the hitting department. Looking at the players he is deemed to be most similar to, there is a good sprinkling of HOFers in there.

The knocks against him are that he never won a major award, and the big one, that he played his entire career in the batter's paradise called Denver. Half of his games were played there.

I don't think he'll make it. He has the numbers to be close, but those tend to be discounted for players with the Rockies.

He has 2 chances, slim and none. He was the Nolan Arenado of his era: A player who padded his stats in the thin air of Denver.

You'll find him in the Hall of Very Good.

He will be one of these guys who hangs on the ballot for 10 years getting closer each year until he finally squeaks in or falls off. I'd say 50/50.

Borderline. His numbers are not that good away from Colorado. It’s slightly better than average.

I guess if Larry walker got in, he should also get in
