Baseball HOF mystery - why was...?
...Ivan Rodriguez voted into the HOF with only 76 percent of the vote?? 14 time AS. 13 Gold Gloves. 7 Silver sluggers. 1 MVP. His offensive numbers were superb for a backstop. He is on nearly every top ten list of all time greatest MLB catchers, sometimes cracking the top five. I'd have thought 90% would have been way more appropriate.

Some of the voters suspected that he had used steroids and didn't vote for him.

Probably because he used steroids in the early 2000's before testing started, so some people didn't vote for him. Unless it was just a coincidence that he lost 30 pounds that offseason.
