☭Oisin Is King☭
Why is it that some players are overhyped because a few great moments rather than consistent performances?
I mean Drogba has only ever had two seasons out of his eight at Chelsea where he scored more than 16 goals, while Giroud has scored more than 16 in 2/2 seasons for Arsenal. Yet Drogba is a Chelsea legend and Giroud is a "donkey". The only thing Drogba was ever consistent in was scoring in League cup and FA Cup finals....... which apparently are worthless anyways. Ok he played well against Munich too in 2012, but that's just one game.
Another example, Eric Cantona, he was so so inconsistent and didn't have a very good scoring record and yet a few FA Cup finals and the odd wonder-goal against a rubbish team like Sunderland meant that he's achieved legendary status at Man United.
Steven Gerrard is another, his career is based on his goal vs Olympiacos, his performances vs Milan in Istanbul, the goal vs West Ham in 2006 and then a few good games vs Everton and Man United.
Whereas someone like Lampard has been a consistent performer and top goalscorer for the best part of a decade and always performs in big games.
I mean if Cantona, Drogba and Gerrard are classed as PL Legends, then it doesn't say that much for the premier league sadly.
8 AnswersEnglish Football (Soccer)7 years agoIsn't it amazing the amount of money Mourinho spends and still ends up playing rubbish football?
Look at their current squad, Hazard, Oscar, Willian, Schurrle, Fabregas, Matic, Torres, Costa, Ba, Salah, Ramires, Lukaku....... a huge amount of attacking football that costs a fortune. Yet at times they still put Azpillacueta in midfield lol, with Willian as a forward and end up just sitting back and parking the bus.
This definitely shows an inability on Mourinho's part to get the best out his players and shows what a poor manager he actually is. At Real Madrid at times he managed to convince Ronaldo, Di Maria, Ozil, etc that'd be best to sit back against the likes of Barcelona and in his final season they got hammered by Dortmund because Mourinho has no idea how to play attacking football or get the best out of attacking players.
If I was Roman Ambramobitch, I'd be furious, so much money wasted and they still have to park the bus against Atletico Madrid in a champions league semi-final.
9 AnswersEnglish Football (Soccer)7 years agoAre Man United fans disappointed that they're bringing in a manager with poor man-management?
He destroyed Cillissens confidence which meant it was going to be impossible for him to save Holland in the shoot-out. No one wanted to take the first penalty which shows no one is willing to give everything for him. Last but not least he destroyed all the players confidence by playing such negative football and made them believe they weren't good enough to actually attack teams.
7 AnswersEnglish Football (Soccer)7 years agoWhy does Pochettino think joining the managerial graveyard is a good idea?
He's going to the club the finished/ruined the careers of George Graham, Martin Jol, Juande Ramos, 'Arry "lord of relegation and administration" Redknapp, Andre Villas-Boas and it has now killed Gooner Tim's career before it even started? I just don't understand how he could view this as a good move for his career.
1 AnswerEnglish Football (Soccer)7 years agoWould you all to join me in congratulating Jose mourinho on his achievement this season?
Took over the team who finished 3rd in the PL, spent a further £110 million..... and kept 3rd and didn't even win a trophy. NOW THAT'S SPECIAL......IST AT FAILURE FOR YOU!
6 AnswersEnglish Football (Soccer)7 years agoHow would you react if you saw your fans acting so bitter about another team winning a trophy?
I'd be very embarrassed, good thing proper non-glory hunters aren't like that.
6 AnswersEnglish Football (Soccer)7 years agoHow embarrassing is it Arsenal fans celebrating like they've won a trophy?
Oh wait.... sorry, ABA's back to drawing board.
5 AnswersEnglish Football (Soccer)7 years agoWhen did Man United last win a trophy?
I heard they count the community shield as a trophy how embarrassing!
CHAMPIONS!!!!!
6 AnswersEnglish Football (Soccer)7 years agoWho want to get their final "Arsenal trophy drought" jokes in bofore the day's out?
Come on one and all this is your final chance, as these jokes will be rendered useless once the mighty Arsenal take home the FA Cup this evening.

7 AnswersEnglish Football (Soccer)7 years agoDid you know the last time Liverpool won the league Jon Flanagans parents were....?
... still just brother and sister.
8 AnswersEnglish Football (Soccer)7 years agoJust a quick question: Would winning the FA Cup be considered better than winning NOTHING?
Over the past 8 years or so, without trophies, as an Arsenal fan I've been told countless times that it's trophies that matter.
Like when Spurs won the League Cup or when Liverpool won the league cup two years ago.... it was "more than Arsenal won" or whatever.
So if City do go on to win the league and Arsenal win the FA Cup, does that mean Arsenal would have had a better season than Liverpool and Chelsea?
I know if it was the other way around, I know what the story would be so.... I'd assume it would be YES this time round also.
8 AnswersEnglish Football (Soccer)7 years agoHow much must it hurt Jose Mourinho knowing David moyes won more than he did?
I mean Moyes even won the Community Shield, Jose is leaving with nothing this year with a hugely expensive squad...
5 AnswersEnglish Football (Soccer)7 years agoDoes tonights result show that Mourinho is inferior to Benitez?
1. Benitez won the Europa League just 5 months after taking the job.
2. He's won the Champions League with an English club.
3. If he had played 6 defenders he'd have been slaughtered
4. He got Chelsea playing good football last season with the same group of players.
5. Benitez doesn't play anti-football and doesn't moan or make excuses for his failures.
Why did Chelsea fans want Benitez out only to be replaced by this specialist in failure.
4 AnswersEnglish Football (Soccer)7 years agoIsn't it strange how Chelsea and City lose their best players for one week and drop points against the bottom?
team? They lose Hazard and Toure for 1 week and both drop points vs Sunderland... WE managed to stay within touching distance of the top without Walcott and Ramsey for most of the season and we've been without Wilshere and Ozil recently too and yet we get criticized. I bet the anti-Arsenal media won't even acknowledge how big of bottlers City and Chelsea are.
3 AnswersEnglish Football (Soccer)7 years agoWould everyone like to join me in remembering all those who tragically died in the....?
In the 1985 Heysel disaster.
I'd like to request that everyone remains respectful and I thought this would be a good opportunity to all those who were murdered on that that.

7 AnswersEnglish Football (Soccer)7 years agoHow do Chelsea fans feel in the knowledge that United are putting up a better fight in Europe this week?
I mean United didn't make anywhere near as many mistakes as Chelsea made in their game yesterday.... maybe Moyes had his players better drilled than the overrated one?
5 AnswersEnglish Football (Soccer)7 years agoAre Willian and Oscar any better than Eboue and Denilson?
The latter two seemed far better tbh and they'll still go down as two of the worst Arsenal players of all time.
No way either Willian or Oscar are worth £30 million.... Chelsea are a joke of a club.
2 AnswersEnglish Football (Soccer)7 years agoOh no.... don't tell me the special cvnt FAILED again?
Out classed by a tiny club from a league that doesn't even matter.... well done Mourinho, what a monumental fvck there!
