  • Am I the only one who gets a thrill out of being in a car crash?

OK so last night, while out for drive with friends, we had the misfortune of writing off my friends car. Now we weren't speeding, it was pure bad luck, the road was slicker then usual due to rain, plus a bit of loose gravel on asphalt seemed to be enough to guide the car off the road where we rolled for a short distance, everyone was OK, minor bumps and bruises. Looking back on past accidents I've been part of, I really get a thrill out of the accidents, the realization of the inevitable, the smashing of the glass, and the rending of metal as the car contorts, the feeling of the spinning and flipping as the vehicle hurls through the air and over the ground, the smell of the air as it rushes in through the broken glass, and the violence followed by the eerie calm as everything comes to a rest. Now is this a remotely normal reaction, cause I love being in them, I've never been the cause of one as I don't want my car wrecked and try and avoid them at all costs, but damn when it happens, for the next few days I'm all revved up on the rush of it. Anyone else experience anything like this?

  • Canada Vs China Vs US?

The effects of Canada making China it's major trading partner?

Wouldn't it be more beneficial for Canada to make China one of it's number one trade partner rather then the US. I understand we have agreements in place but those can be changed, I mean honestly, it's not as though the US honours the N.A.F.T.A anyway so why not? I know we may lose money on the trade value due to costs for shipping and what not, but we would be moving way more volume wouldn't we? I don't know it's just a though as a possible way to strengthen our economy. Please feel free to throw in your 2 cents on the idea, as to why/not work.

  • Psychic, precognition, cold reading, or just plain batshit crazy?

Is it possible to read someones mind, or just know everything about that person just by meeting them?

Here's the thing, ever since I was in my early teens (now in early 30's) I have been able to "read" people. Usually I don't do it because if you mention it to someone, they automatically want you to "read" them usually to prove me right/wrong. Now with some people I can just see them and their life is like an open book to me, usually I "view" these people in a broad sense, and I get the basic rundown of what the person is like and whether I want to associate with said individual; At times I get the warning flags (as I call them) popping up left right and centre, yet I'll choose to ignore them hoping I am wrong for whatever reason (99% of the time I should have listened to myself). Even now with my wife, I find I know what she's thinking even if she doesn't say anything, whether it be good or bad I know, I ask only to initiate the conversation so she can get whatever it is she has to say off her chest before it builds up...mind you sometimes I'll just ignore it, because I know what it is and don't feel up to dealing with it.

Now as I've said I would read people, tell them about their lives, their childhood, if there was abuse in their life, likes/dislikes etc...And I still see it.

But every once in awhile it gets weird, like I can hear people thinking, not so bad one at a time, in a crowded place though it's really disorientating and makes me feel ill.

    I suppose my questions are,

    A) Has anyone else gone through this?

    B) WTF is it?

    C) Is there an off switch?

  • Christians, Muslims, Atheists, is it possible?

That the bible was misinterpreted, now I'm not saying it's wrong, but maybe it's not exactly interpreted correctly? For example, man is supposedly made in the likeness of "God", and "God" is everywhere in everything all the time (omnipotent, omnipresent), could we assume that "God" is energy (as it is present everywhere, in everything all the time).

And since we are assuming things, let's pretend that Adam and Eve weren't the first humans, but Adam was the first single cell organism, and that when it split,(Eve) evolution really began (which includes the human race).

Now since this is all theoretical and only my beliefs, could we also say that it is possible that the story of Noah's ark, was a reference to the end of an ice age where flooding, rains and what could possibly occur, and the idea of moving with only one male/female of every animal (domesticated) would be quicker then moving an entire heard if you're running for your life to high ground?

Jesus and the cross...Son of "God", or just the sun, the cross is a divider of the 4 seasons, blah, blah, blah, you see where I'm going with this, birth/death of Christ=winter/spring solstice or whatever.

So yea, I'm not asking for you to believe this as these are only a few of the things that I'm sharing as examples, I just want to know if you think that it could be possible, not if it is, just if it is possible.

  • If a woman says, "hit me"....?

So I was thinking, I had an argument awhile ago with this girl (doesn't matter what it was over, can't remember); Anyway long story short, she starts telling (yelling) at me to hit her.(I didn't...wanted to, like REALLY wanted to, but didn't) When I wouldn't she calls me a ***** WTF?!?

My question is....With woman's equality, equal rights and all, am I suppose to hit them, will that argument hold up in court if she decides she may have spoken to soon. If equal rights is in play, then it shouldn't matter right? I know if a guy said that to me, and I hit him, it would never seen court as both parties would be consenting participants (and this would only be because it's two guys fighting) So if a woman tells a man to hit her.....?

    Your thoughts please

  • If "Vampires" claim they are real...?

I hate these douche-bag I'm a vampire, I'm a werewolf, I'm all sparkly and sh!t people; If you are a vampire, fine, I want to be a vampire killer (also werewolves, trolls, and other nasty folklore critters)

My question is, before I get arrested for staking one of these little blood sucking bastards of the night, what should I prepare as my defence...I mean is there anything protecting these groups, such as human interest groups, PETA, historical society?

I figure if the law doesn't recognize a vampire/werewolf as an actual being, then it would be a no harm, no foul (as I'm not killing a human). Also can I claim justifiable homicide, as their reputation clearly precedes it, and I would have reason to believe that my life is in danger, and I was acting in self defence? Any help would be appreciated.
