Christians, Muslims, Atheists, is it possible?

That the bible was misinterpreted, now I'm not saying it's wrong, but maybe it's not exactly interpreted correctly? For example, man is supposedly made in the likeness of "God", and "God" is everywhere in everything all the time (omnipotent, omnipresent), could we assume that "God" is energy (as it is present everywhere, in everything all the time).

And since we are assuming things, let's pretend that Adam and Eve weren't the first humans, but Adam was the first single cell organism, and that when it split,(Eve) evolution really began (which includes the human race).

Now since this is all theoretical and only my beliefs, could we also say that it is possible that the story of Noah's ark, was a reference to the end of an ice age where flooding, rains and what could possibly occur, and the idea of moving with only one male/female of every animal (domesticated) would be quicker then moving an entire heard if you're running for your life to high ground?

Jesus and the cross...Son of "God", or just the sun, the cross is a divider of the 4 seasons, blah, blah, blah, you see where I'm going with this, birth/death of Christ=winter/spring solstice or whatever.

So yea, I'm not asking for you to believe this as these are only a few of the things that I'm sharing as examples, I just want to know if you think that it could be possible, not if it is, just if it is possible.

Update:

@ Griffith Hawk

You seemed to have missed the point of the question. I'm not knocking the bible, your religion or faith, this is only some of the ideas I hold to be true; I am simply asking if you think that they may be possible, not what the bible says. Sorry if I rocked your boat, that was never the intention of the question.

I have to say that as an Atheist studying religion (s) from a sociological standpoint has become a revered intellectual hobby. I have found academic papers written on the topic of bible interpenetration written by Theists and Atheists alike. Your rather vague description makes far more sense than most theories I have ever encountered. So I have to say; yes most definitely it has been misinterpreted many many times by both sides.

The bible was written around the 7th century before christ. It is written by men, who with their primitive knowledge, have tried to explain the human mysteries: where they came from, where they are going, why is there pain and sufferings, why is there death, and what is there after death. These mysteries have intrigued man since his early civilizations. Thus, you can find in the bible many stories that are similar to other civilizations. They only difference is the presence of a unique God (monotheism) who is responsible for his creation. The only books that are truly historical (that is drawn from reality) are found in the new testament. So, when reading the OT, you have to read it while keeping in mind the preaching of the NT. The OT is just a preparation for the NT, where God (n the NT) is fully revealed to us.

The Bible is a book of Parables

A parable is a succinct story, in prose or verse, that illustrates a lesson. It differs from a fable in that fables use animals, plants, inanimate objects, and forces of nature as characters, while parables generally feature human characters. It is a type of analogy.

Some scholars of the Canonical gospels and the New Testament apply the term "parable" only to the parables of Jesus, though that is not a common restriction of the term. Parables such as "The Prodigal Son" are central to Jesus' teaching method in both the canonical narratives and the apocrypha.

i'm a Muslim. Muslims view of Christians, Muslims and atheist is predicated completely on the Quran and the Sunnah. whilst quoting some element which isn't from any of those, Muslims are in simple terms giving their own own evaluations and this opinion could be contested and refuted, if obvious justify. strategies used for guy or woman opinion are by utilising by skill of logical reasoning, inference, remark and so on,and so on the Quran properly person-friendly 'the Nazara'-Christians who're actual to the instructing of Jesus. The Nestorians, which was referred to as heretics by way of the two Catholics and Orthodox grew to become into as quickly as considered as actually Christians by utilising the Persians in the pre-Islam era. That grew to become into the justifications why many Nestorians fled the Byzantine who persecuted them and lived in Persian occupied areas. certainly, many early persons of the faster shared the comparable view approximately famous Christianity of right now and not in simple terms the Quran on my own making such revelations.

Fortunately for us who believe in everlasting life the interpretation of the bible I have and although a scientific explanation is what you seek, I assure you adam and eve were not just cells. Noah's arc was huge due to the measurements given written in the bible and so all I can say

is that if you had read your bible you would have realised by now the interpretation of it. Read the bible before making anymore assumptions of your own.

  • Why wouldn't it be possible? A lot of the bible is symbolic, but I think the cross and stuff is just a bit too far. Somethings in the bible can't be taken metaphorically, a lot of it is actually real and historically correct.

Ok, we never said that we know what's the nature of God? we just worship him....

You want to claim he's energy... it's fine...

Come on, I'm sick of people keep accusing religions of the reason of all troubles in the world...

If one person, only one person, said I shoudn't kill, steal, rape, etc... because of my religion

    Then it worths....

Now from your point of view, the only difference between you and us, is you didn't give God, characterstics, we do.... as long as it helps, good luck

The Bible is so ambiguous and vague that anybody could interpret it in anyway that fits their personal bias.
