  • Should Hong Kong senior citizens being tortured in old age care home? Any country worsen than Hong Kong?

I am shocked for to day's article published in the Singtao Daily news (09-04-2008, Chinese Edition) about how bad the residents are being treated in Cheshire Old Care Home, located in Cheung Hom Kok, Hong Kong. It is a government subsdised old age care home. The appilcants are required to register with the Hong Kong Social Service Department. After approval then put intothe waiting list, it seems good and well-managed. The complaints from the residents are as the followings.

    1) The handicapped and mentally retarded residents are being hit by the care workers on the heads.

    2) A few seniors are being splashed with the urines on the faces by the workers.

    3) The limited and restricted and rest times to residents, no complaint is being accepted.

    5) There are not enough hot water for showers in winter time.

    6) A few of them are being thrown onto beds without care and get hurt.

    7) A very uneasy procedure of changing dress for the many.

  • Is it conspiracy of Hong Kong Council for Substainable Development lost 2,000 completed forms in air quality?

Hong Kong's foul air has raised a public survey in collecting the opinion from the publics. The Hong Kong Council for Subtainable Development is responsible for collecting questionaires from the concerned citizens. The council's spokesperson revealed that 2,000 of 7,000 completed forms had lost ten days after the survey. Many sensible citizens know that the cause of foul air are the two fossil fuel power generating stations, the car flow capacity of 400 per kilometer, many outdated diesel buses and vans and ferry boats, and the cars park with idling engines. Many citizens are cynical to the Hong Kong government for air quality improvement. Every one knows about Donald Tsang Yum-Keun lied on TV in air quality's. The Environment Control Dept. lied on radio show by saying that the Hong Kong air quality has improved dramatically. My ***! Most outdoor residents feel Hong Kong air is getting worsen each day. Eight years ago the press said that Hong Kong become not liveable in ten years period

  • Should the stock markets go clash in Hong Kong and China to cool overheated economy and lower the inflations?

Hong Kong has a boost up economic outlook this year because the inclination of stock markets go nearly to 30,000 in Heng Seng index. We boasts Hong Kong has the highest numbers of rich citizens in Asia but the contemporary problem of highest gini coefficient of 0.535 reflecting the poor and rich gap is highest among all developed counties with estimated two millions out of slightly less than seven million population. Hong Kong has no pension for the retired citizens The damn fruit fund only pays ranging from $625-705 per month which is equivalent to less than one hundred US dollars. Canadians are entitled to equivalent to 8,000 to 9,000 Hong Kong dolllars per month. What a great comparison and contrast between Hong Kong and Canada? The recent TV programs showed many university graduated young couples are tending to have mental disease problem because the housing prices go up twice as much as last year. They can't afford to buy a small living unit in Shenzhen, the damned "market city" .

  • Should the stock market crash in China and Hong Kong to cool down overheated economy and staggering inflation?

I rather angry for losing my Yahoo answer while answering a question about the benefits and harms to different groups of people in Shenzhen after it recognized as a "market city". I rather concern about the staggering inflation in China and Hong kong counterpart. I am aware that many young couples with university degrees and hold good jobs in Shenzhen can not afford to buy a small flat in Shenzhen. Many educated young couples in China and Hong Kong become mentally sick because they can't cope with the hardship of living standards of these market cities. The workload is so high and stressful in China and Hong Kong. One girl is reported dead a few days ago because of overtime work and office stress in a Japanese company in Shanghai, China.

  • As my marriage and home will be in China,I am worrying my parents' furture life in Hong Kong for no pension.

I will be getting married in the future to my boyfriend in Hoinan Island,China. It is cheaper for better foods and much better air. My parents choose to stay in this sin city, Hong Kong. Both of them are not financilly secured. As Hong Kong is a city of hard to earn money for anyone reached ages of 60s, I worry the livelihooh in Hong Kong for the rest of their life. Why the Hong Kong government to establish a pension plan for aged citizens, say aged 60, elegible for 5,000 Hong Kong dollars per month. Well, it is less than seven hundred US dollars per month. What should I do?

  • I often dreamed my parents'hardship in Hong Kong, they begged money on the srteets, picked and sorted trash! W

I dreamed my father was picking up and sorting out trash in the dump in Kowloon side. He looked old and tiresome but kept on wrapping up the old newspapers, paper boards, and empty cans. My mother was begging on streets, she kept on saying thanks in Chinese to many spared her a dollar or even one half a dollar. I am working but don't make much. Do my parents will have such a miserable life in the future in Hong Kong?

  • Should Hong Kong authority amends new law to make a fine to the parking with engine idling in front of a park?

I find very noisy and bad air in front of the city parks in Hong Kong. Many tourist buses are parked in front of many parks in Kowloon every day. Those drivers are just reading newspapers or looking girls pass by inside the buses, at least tens of buses. I felt almost suffocated a few days ago while strolling along the side walk in front of a park.

  • Should Hong Kong has a basic pension fund of at least five thousands dollars per month for citizens reach 60s?

My parents are getting older each day. Soon they will reach their retiring ages. I am a secondary school graduate and make just enough for myself. I really am worried that they can't make their life safely in Hong Kong in the future
