Should Hong Kong senior citizens being tortured in old age care home? Any country worsen than Hong Kong?

I am shocked for to day's article published in the Singtao Daily news (09-04-2008, Chinese Edition) about how bad the residents are being treated in Cheshire Old Care Home, located in Cheung Hom Kok, Hong Kong. It is a government subsdised old age care home. The appilcants are required to register with the Hong Kong Social Service Department. After approval then put intothe waiting list, it seems good and well-managed. The complaints from the residents are as the followings.

1) The handicapped and mentally retarded residents are being hit by the care workers on the heads.

2) A few seniors are being splashed with the urines on the faces by the workers.

3) The limited and restricted and rest times to residents, no complaint is being accepted.

5) There are not enough hot water for showers in winter time.

6) A few of them are being thrown onto beds without care and get hurt.

7) A very uneasy procedure of changing dress for the many.

Update:

8) Clothes are being stolen after the outgoing laundry services.

9) The managerial personnel of the Cheshire Care Home have exhibited the favoritism to the care home workers.

10) The care workers stole or take anvantages from the residents for any take out order from outside vendors ( It probably means that the care workers cheat the residents money such as a ten dollars order become a total charge of fifteen dollars, or something like that).

My Canadian brother's father in law lives like a king in a private care home in Canada for the past five years. He gets four meals a day, 24 hours monitoring by nurse-aides, hair cut every three weeks, visiting doctors monthly, good drug prescripton, and my brother can drive him outside once a week. I heard that all old men get quite good treats in government subsdized old age homes in Canada, too.

Hong Kong's gone down the plughole since Britain left.

The Chinese government is a monstous, evil, non-democratic regime which the rest of the world chooses to ignore because of economic gain.
