As my marriage and home will be in China,I am worrying my parents' furture life in Hong Kong for no pension.

I will be getting married in the future to my boyfriend in Hoinan Island,China. It is cheaper for better foods and much better air. My parents choose to stay in this sin city, Hong Kong. Both of them are not financilly secured. As Hong Kong is a city of hard to earn money for anyone reached ages of 60s, I worry the livelihooh in Hong Kong for the rest of their life. Why the Hong Kong government to establish a pension plan for aged citizens, say aged 60, elegible for 5,000 Hong Kong dollars per month. Well, it is less than seven hundred US dollars per month. What should I do?

I am guessing they have always lived in Hong Kong. Now they are in their 60s they don't want to completely change their way of life. There is nothing you can do. They have to live out their life in their own chosen way. You have to move on with your life. Good luck..

Send them money when you are in Hoinun Island. Bring them over to the island from time to time to show them around. Let them see for them themselves that its better for them to be in Hoinun. Old folks are stubborn, it will take a while before they accepts your reasoning. Good luck. You have my sympathies.
