I've not ever reached that point, but if you drink very fast and aren't breathing it's possible to get dizzy. The consumption of water wouldn't be the culprit but lack of proper breathing.

You can get sick from drinking an extreme excess of water, however. It's rare for people to do that, but it can cause death. You can read more about that below.
