Are French people a bit soft?

I'm sure there are tough places in France, and i love French people, but are they a bit soft?, i think a lot of them are, the nice weather, and nice food and a beautiful country to live in. It seems like its all on a plate for them. I find Polish people quite tough, they work way too much and never seem to try and enjoy life, but i respect them.

John 3:5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, HE CANNOT ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD."

Can you explicit what you mean by soft?

I live in France, and there are a lot of people around me that I would certainly not describe as soft. But I am not you, so maybe I'm not using the word the same way you mean it.

Big difference between city dwellers and the rural people of both places.

The occupation by Russian troops after World War two was not a lot of fun for the locals in Poland.Decades of delay in rebuilding the nation.France did it sooner and the hard work of the elders is enjoyed by their Grandchildren.

Paris was spared extensive damage during the last war.

The Germans destroyed 80–90% of Warsaw's buildings and deliberately demolished, burned, or stole an immense part of its cultural heritage.

It takes decades to rebuild centuries worth of things.A vast wasteland of deliberate destruction at war end by retreating forces left many places 50% or more destroyed.

French cities/towns also had damage but to a much smaller intensity.

Polish population at the start of the war about 35,000,000 About 5,000,000 died in the war years.the population of France was almost the same before and after the war. More to share the rebuilding.
