Do French people know their country history?

Like their deadliest war for example! French Wars of Religion 1562?

Or other wars such as Hundred Years War etc?

    French wars of religion were very bloody for france. Roughly around 3 million to 4 million died in that war, which was 1/6 of their population at that time wiped out
