Why does my stomach think avocados are pure lard?

I love avocados. Well, my tongue does, anyway. They're so delightfully smooth, with a mild flavor that stands on its own or can be blended with nearly anything. But whenever I eat straight avocado, I can only get through one, maybe two slices before my stomach threatens to mutiny if I don't stop eating "that pure lard." Why is that?

    Your mind is associating the two, because of mouth feel and what lard looks like and feels like. It's not your stomach, it's your brain. The mid is unusually good at making associations, even across the basic senses. the people you see on TV show competitions like Fear Factor are really good at changing their mindset and turn rotten cheese covered with maggots into cotton candy.

    Answer It's in your head because of the texture, the "mouth feel".

    Either a gastric issue or a psychological one due to knowing they are high in fat, combined with the smooth texture (your brain thinks "lard").

    Sarcasm aside, it sounds like you're probably allergic to avocados. You might need to exclude them from your diet, for your personal health.
