Rapid weight loss after quitting Zoloft?

So I weighed about 175 when I started Zoloft. Was on the medication for two years and weighed 215 when I quit. It’s been only a few months and I’m allready back down to about 180. I have the exact same eating habits, I’ve had blood work done and nothing abnormal. Just curious if anyone else has experienced the same thing..

Probably slightly increased heart rate, which turned up your metabolism. Zoloft can calm you down and in turn lower heart rate and metabolism. Now that your off of it, your heart rate is slightly higher and it sped up your metabolism.

I was eating pretzels and salad and going to the gym, yet I looked like I was chowing down on multiple cheeseburgers during any free moment. The minute I switched to a different medication I started dropping the weight…"

One of the side effects of taking Zoloft is weight gain, but it is rare, like only about 1% are affected. Perhaps you were in that 1%.
