DVD's on Xbox?

If you play a DVD on an Xbox would that material be saved in the hard drive of the machine? Just curious in the off chance I might be able to retrieve something off of the machine due to a DVD being damaged.

    No you can't, it doesn't save the content like it does a video game

    No, dvd movies do not automatically save anything to the hard drive.

    Not unless it is a 360 game, you will still need the disk to play.
