Is 140 and a size 6 a good weight for someone five three?

Originally at 5'3 I weighed 150 pounds and wore a size 10 pants, and 6 in dresses. The thing is, no one would have guessed I weighed 150, even the gym instructor estimated I was 130! My aunt who is the same height and 130 pounds wore the same pants as me when I was 150.

I wanted to slim down, despite people telling me I looked perfect at 150 so I went down to 140, and (laugh all you want) people told me I was TOO thin and skinny! One would think a woman who is 5'3 would look slighty heavy at that weight but I was able to wear a size 6 pants.

I then lost another ten pounds and became a size 4, I felt that 130 pounds was the lowest attractive weight on my frame but what confuses me is the fact that the BMI calculator says that I should weigh 121!

I'm confused...

Update:

I am 22 years old

I think people that weigh 172 or 150 are going to say you are fine at 140. But those that are around 110-120 are thinking I'm glad I don't weigh that much.

Young adults are already in a category that lose weight a lot faster than say someone who is 45.

I am 40 and found P90X and Insanity worked well..very well. Bill Phillips Body for Life worked very well years ago.

And I wanted something that was easier on my body, didn't take as much time, and I didn't have to think about what my next meal was going to be.

I researched and found two that my full criteria. I know there are more out there...

First I found one that is great for men and women at http://buildthemuscle.net./

And the one I decided to do because it has a great support system of women doing the program and finished the program, just for women, and simply laid out and guaranteed and I found it at http://inshapenow.net./

    I'm losing on average 1 1/2 pounds a week.

I think one of the keys to success is setting yourself up for success. Find a plan that is realistic to your lifestyle so you aren't cheating or angry at yourself for missing a workout or a meal.

    To your lifestyle change!

You likely naturally have more muscle than many people. A pound of muscle takes up less space than a pound of fat so muscular people are going to be thinner at the same height/weight as someone who has little muscle.

You are not too thin at a size 4-6 at your height. I would say 2-6 is ideal depending on a persons frame size, muscle mass etc. So if your happy at a 4-6, ignore what other people say. That size is not to small and at that size, your not underweight and I highly doubt your body fat % is too low.
