Why would they Fire Toronto's best Mayor?

I was shocked and sad to hear the best mayor of Toronto was fired for a minor infraction.

How sad the media has picked on a good man,the court has now fired a good man.

This mayor only wants to help the taxpayers of Toronto and every step of the way some people try to stop his cost saving measures that need doing and that he was doing. This mayor was the best thing that happened to Toronto he was cleaning up things that should have been done long ago.

garbage strikes by greedy union workers holding a big city ransom for weeks stinking out places with rotting garbage he has just about fixed that, car tax 60.00 he got rid of that,5c shopping bag fees gone and more. so the guy is on the side of the voters and boom fired for a small 3500.00 woop.

a mississauga provincial mp charged for a condo 38k and keeps her job so why fire a good man.Sad.

Update:

Rob never stole taxpayers money.

looks like some people are blind. As for robs weight what does that have to do with anything?

or a cbc comedy show? nitpicking is so sad. The Guy is the best mayor full stop.

The Left has a strangle hold on Toronto. They don't want anyone to run the city who doesn't share their narrow minded viewpoints.

It's not about how much or what the money was for. What is it about ethics violations that eludes people.

Ford was given 6 opportunities to pay the money back and the issue would have been dead. Not only did he refuse, he sat in a meeting about removing the ruling he should pay the $ back. Legally he should never have been at the meeting. It was a conflict of interest. Ford also admitted that after 10 years + in City Hall he still hasn't bother reading the ethics guidlines.

Wtf has unions exercising their RIGHTS have to do with a Mayor who breaks provincial law. He had his chance. He thought he was above the law. Now he's (and his supporters) are blaming everyone but him.

There was no gravy train. In 2 years, he hasn't found any evidence of it. It was a political talking point. He has done bugger all but bully people. I voted, he wasn't on my side. He was on his own side. Ignorance of the law is no excuse.

He used a public office to sollicit funds for private use despite a clear conflict of interest.

After having been found out, he refused to admit his mistake and repay the tax payers

the moneys that he stole from them.

He also voted on the matter even though he was not eligible to vote, another conflict of

    interest.

    Because he broke the law.

It's not a difficult concept and all the emotional ranting doesn't change it.

I'm going to read the Sun tomorrow (in a coffee shop, I certainly would never pay for it) and see if any of their clueless columnists or letter writers understand this.

Ford has repeatedly shown himself to be arrogant and dismissive and believes he is above the rules. He got what he deserved. He's just a big bully.
