Can you recommend me a book?

A friend of mine has just started to take an interest in reading. She loved White Massai. She's not so keen on fiction stories but i think maybe something like the amy tan stories might work but something simpler. Or just some good biographical stories like the white massai.

    these are good: twilight series, the vampire diaries series, drums girls and dangerous pies
