Is it just me, or does it appear that the number of recalled food products, is increasing in frequency?
In Canada, yesterday, it was green onions contaminated with salmonella: http://www.torontosun.com/life/healthandfitness/20...
Today, it's cookies with metal chips: http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/100818/health/h...
And, just last week it was some kind of sliced meat.
Is this just run-of-the-mill greed and societal complacency? What are your thoughts?
Thanx, Panama Joe :-)
LOL, btw, I didn't know that "poor people" ate the products in question. I see what point you are trying to make with that reference, though :-).
V for Voluptuous: What does "nature" have to do with it? Please explain? These products don't contaminate themselves.

no you are right, there seems to be an increase in this probably due to cost cutting exercises.

The various governments, in order to lower taxes, have stopped regulators from regulating, claiming that regulations are not needed in a true capitalist society. The result is, as you say, poison onions, metal flakes in cookies, poison mouthwash, and other failures of capitalism. The worse part? Nobody will be punished for these crimes against humanity. Did anyone go to prison for the poison peanut butter of last two years? Not a one.
Poor people eat those products, and who cares about them? Not politicians!

Ya, I guess we are into another rise in the contamination cycle. The threat is ongoing, it comes with evolution and social conflict.
