Black British Tourist Here, Can I Visit Italy?
I am very aware of the racial tensions in italy between migrants from africa and the italian public. I know its not all italians of course, but i know the general atmosphere is against them.
However, i have always wanted to visit italy, and im not talking Rome i mean the sun drenched beautiful countryside and farms and villages and rolling hill settlements.
Will i be chased out/ ostrasized? Is it ok to visit or should i just stay in Rome/Milan if i go?
Thanks!

Just go there and fcuk and try to f*** as many women as you can over there and then come home.
they dont like anything Non Italian and they definetely don't like black dudes either, cos they're culturally racist.
Italian culture mindset is racist not just to blacks but pretty much all non Italian cultures.

Italy is visited by millions of tourists every year.
We return almost all of them alive without any problems.

You won't be 'chased out'. People might stare at you, but it's unlikely anything else would happen.
(Obviously not right now, given the pandemic)

The answer to that is mixed. First of all, part of this is a class issue. They can clearly tell the difference between black people from the UK or the US and the migrants. They will know you're a tourist, and therefore affluent and not intending to take a job and stay. That's not to say that there aren't some idiot racists in every country- look at the violence against people of Chinese descent whose families have been in the UK or the US for generations, but still get blamed for COVID. As a blonde, white American, when I was in Italy, there were some anti-American demonstrations because of the troops we had on the Adriatic at the time. But most people can make a distinction between individuals and the government. BTW- you should go to France. They think the US is horrible because of racism, and they go out of their way to be nice to black people.
