If there is no such thing as God?

Why does the USA federal Dept. print in God we trust on it's money?. Really it appears to me that God is very much alive and just because he doesn't answer prayers on your time doesn't mean he is not listening to your prayers.

Update:

Actually no I'm Canadian thank God for that. I just thought it was a good point.

It just appears that the US Goverment has made a point of placing a trust in God that is all.

Yes I do believe in the One True God and of course Jesus Christ our Savior.

Good point but I think that a lot of people would trust in God regardless of what the U.S. government prints on their currency. In Serbia, England, the Russian Steppes, South Africa, Argentina, Columbia, France, Israel, Yemen, India, and China. People trust in God on faith alone and not because the trust is incorporated into the mint of another land.

They know God universally and they trust in Him. Take me for instance, I'm up here in Canada and I trust Him by faith. Your nations currency has no viable proof for me at all. What I have is a faith and what proof there is for me is biblical.

Have a good day and God bless.

So you're saying that because a government prints "In God we trust" on money... God must therefore exist? By that reasoning, I could write "God doesn't exist" on a piece of paper and it would therefore be true. If there is such a thing as God, then why does my paper say otherwise?

Also, it's very reassuring to know that super-loving and super-powerful, and super-knowing God doesn't actually bother answering prayers from desperate people, who need help.

Well, the gov want to control you and what better way to control the people than through religion. So when they write that on your money it is to remind you of the imaginary tool your government use so that you will be easier to control. Now they can go on rambling about how it is gods will that this and that has to be done and everyone will believe the gov like the sheep's they are from being indoctrinated by the money...

English coins carry the legend "Elizabeth II D G Reg F D"

which stands for Elizabeth II Dei Gratia Regina Fidei Defensor.

English atheists spend these coins without a qualm.

That's a good question and a difficult question at that? For the record, I believe in God and not because it says it on the money but I have a better question, they separated the church from the state so why do they still have in God we trust written on the money? I'm not complaining about it but it doesn't make sense.

That was an unconstitutional act by our cowardly government. It doesn't mean that God actually exists. It is helping to dilute God of any meaning or significance, just like "under God" in the Pledge. It's actually pretty funny, since using God's name in vain (i.e. in empty or rote pledges and promises) is forbidden, and the root of all evil is supposedly money. hehehee

So the USA federal Dept. determines the existence of God? How stupid is that? And if God is alive, can you describe his life process? I thought his existence was above our ability to understand or comprehend...

Because our nation {like it or not} was a nation under God....

the ACLU is totally wrong how they read things. They print that because everyone does know there is a God-whether admitted to or not

Apparently god did not exist till 1954. That's when it appeared on the money.

Do you really think that because "In God we trust" is printed on US Currency that God is alive? WOW. When presented with such compelling evidence it's hard not to give myself unto the Lord now.

    Give me a break.
