Is My Hair Changing Color??

Question

I am still quite young, my early teens, and my hair is currently dirty blonde.  As a child, it was slightly lighter blonde, but now it's dirty blonde.  Over the past year or two, I have been noticing dark brown, almost black hairs on my head when I examine them closely.  They are long, around the same length as the rest of my hair is.  Is my hair color changing??  If so, why??

Yes, hair color can change with age.  Mine darkened.

Hair color can also change with environment (i.e. swimming pools, particularly) and with diet.  Dietary deficiencies can affect hair color and correcting the deficiency can change things again.

Hair may change colors just in some areas.  I've seen natural streaking, probably of genetic origin.  The white streak or streaks are counterbalanced of equal areas of darker hair.  Maybe the dark hairs are balanced by scattered ones of blonde or silver.

It's natural. 

My hair was BLEACH blonde when I was a baby, and changed to red/strawberry blonde when I was 2. 

It's still red, at 22.

That happened to my dad, so when he was a kid he had white blonde hair, but when he was a teenager his hair turned almost black

Yea it sounds like its changing color.It happens to lots of blonds as they get older.iu believe the reason is because you hair is growing thicker and its just growing a different color.

this is a common thing that is also happening to myself. it may be genetics because my mom went from blonde to black hair when she was as young as 5.

that happens a lot.If your mother or father have black hair,the it might change to a darker color.When i was about 2-5 i had white hair.Now im almost a brunette. Im 13
