  • Sri Lankan Star Tortoise in 150 gallon glass tank?

I have a 150 gallon that's 5'x2'x2' big it's drilled for a external overflow. I'm not using the tank so I wanted to see if I can utilize it by placing the tortoise in it. My tortoise Is currently in a tortoise table. If I keep a thermometer and try to keep it dry. Since the tank is 5 feet long I thought it would have space to go from hot area to cold area. Also would cover the sides up to the tortoise shell to prevent it from seeing out.

    Thanks for you're time.

  • Help!! My Pet Corn Snake Wont Eat!!?

My pet Corn Snake that I've had for about a year now just got moved into a newer, bigger, and better enclosure about 3 weeks ago. She has appeared to be pretty stressed ever since, constantly climbing the sides of the tank to try and push her way out from the top, and at any second she had at an escape, she tried to get out. She would even put herself in places that she would end up falling down from! So far, in the new tank, she has eaten twice with no issues. But now, suddenly, she won't eat anymore! I skipped that meal and decided to wait a week until her next meal, to give her a bit of a break. I was worried that I was overhandling her during the adjustment to her new enclosure, but it's been a week since the last feeding attempt and she still won't eat! It's as if she suddenly doesn't recognize her food as food, she just pulls back away from it and continues slithering around for an escape route. She's a very timid snake, but it has never effected her feeding habits before. What should I do?!

  • What's the appeal of keeping a snake as a pet?

They're dangerous and unpredictable. Especially the big ones. I've heard of one that stangled 2 kids from the neighbors owner. There's one that strangled the owner and he died. Not to mention, they look scary and won't love the owner. They're not meant to be pets. The small ones that won't grow too big are not too bad. But the big ones.Ugh No, how do you know it won't attack your children?

  • what does a little frog think when it's being eaten by a larger frog? At what point does it die?

As far as I'm aware it's still alive even after being swallowed.

  • Tips for handling aggressive Jaguar Python?

I've owned this snake for a yr or 2 now, although have no handling experience and have shied away from handling him as he is very aggressive/defensive.

Even if I was somehow able to pick it up, it would track my hands and bite me at any opportunity. I have no experience with handling, any advice would be appreciated.

I have watched lots of videos giving advice, but all their snakes seem to be alot more chilled than mine.
