2 AnswersCard Games6 years agoWhich Web development framework do you recommend?
There are many web development frameworks around.
This is what I have worked out so far.
Ruby on Rails seems to one of the most popular.
While Django as an open source project with a name (Thanks to a certain recent movie that sounds cool) seems interesting and is designed for data driven projects.
Another possibility is Drupal, as a content management system built around PhP would be great for content driven systems.

1 AnswerOther - Australia8 years agoWhen do Migratory birds arrive in Brisbane, Australia?
Every year in Australia's spring, Brisbane's wetlands plays host to migratory birds from China, Russia, Alaska, Korea and Japan.
Unfortunately they generally consider Brisbane to be a pitstop and keep on further south.
What I would love to find out is when is the best time to visit the wetlands around Brisbane for bird watching. I can't find any information about the dates to do this.

1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment9 years agoGood investments in Australia?
A quick question
What are some interesting ways to invest your money in Australia.
Many people invest in the stock market, but I am not sure this is the best investment opportunity.
So say you have $30-50,000 to invest where would you put it...in the stock market, in real estate or some other investment.
I am a bit negative about the stock market because while there have been some successful IPOs and people who invested in Apple back in the day made money, most people seem to be going in blind. Love to hear about things to invest in where I can get more involved and have more information.

I need to use Stock photos on occassion. While I find it is cheap to access stock photos if you subscribe to a stock photo libary (less than $1) most websites seem to only sell those photos on demand at prices around $50.
Where can I get stock photos at a fair price?

1 AnswerBrisbane9 years agoWhat do you call the knowledge a business possesses?
I have been asking around trying to find the accepted term for this.
It is the knowledge a business possesses about how to do business.
For example, anyone can learn how to market.
But a business learns how to market its product to its customers.
When a person leaves a company that knowledge may be lost.
It is this knowledge that companies possess, usually not in documents, but in people's brains.
Some things include
- best recruitment channels for finding staff (especially part-time and casual staff)
- marketing knowledge
- how to best do a sales presentation to certain types of customers
What do you call this knowledge?
1 AnswerOther - Business & Finance9 years agoSpecific reasons not to use Comic Sans font.?
I am looking for some specific real reasons not to use the Comic Sans font.
Please just don't say "it isn't proffesional or it doesn't look good".
I hear that all the time, I am instead looking very specific artistic and technical reasons for not using it.
Thanks.
