Who else feels meh about Yahoo! Answers shutting down April 20th (Eastern Time)?
Kinda feel like knowing that a site I've been on for 13+ years is shutting down would be something but its kinda meh, I don't even really feel like answering or asking questions on its final day. I guess that sums up what Y!A has become, meh.
Mr. Smart *** I knew someone would answer that.

“Meh” sums it up well. I’ve been using Y/A since 2007. In recent years it’s become less and less informative. I certainly have better things to do with my time.
To what extent I care, is that such closures and censorship on the part of media are really limiting s free speech and sharing of different ideas. But hey, I’m getting old. I’m happy to have less crap in my life and leave such isdues to younger generations.

I too have come to grips with it, however, I'm definitely enjoying my last day here. I'm a 15 year member. Yahoo Answer has been a nice past time for me, I'll miss it.

Same. I started in 2009, though this is my second account, and I just remembered it's supposed to be the last day. It feels like I should be sad about Yahoo!Answers essentially shutting down in THREE hours but whatever, I'm not. Looking back, aside from a few that I've answered these last few days there is a gap between now and two months ago in terms of my activity.
At one time, I was listed as a top contributor for four or five categories and I do feel like I've helped people over the years. But now, most of the questions I come across are mostly trolls or people looking for questions that fit into their echo-chamber. And no, I'm not just talking Politics here, though that section had it worse than all others.
Yahoo!Answers has lost my interest, which is a shame but honestly it's for the best that it shuts down. It's just a buggy mess now, and I wonder if I'll miss it with how it's just turned out.

And yet here you are.
The site peaked long ago and has become a cesspool, so it's not exactly any great loss to the world at this point... but it's still a nearly 16-year-old site that has contained a lot of entertainment and the occasional interesting info...and lots of wasted time spent, so either way it's still a bit sad.
Now we'll all just have to figure out what to do with that extra time we hadn't already found better ways to spend.
