This has nothing at all to do with Genealogy.

What you propose is highly unlikely to work.  It depends on your age, but if you're not an adult, it definitely won't work as you'll get reported as a missing person and I'd bet you'll be returned home within a week.

It's far better to sort out your problems and wait until you're able to save up some money, get a job and leave home in the usual way.  Get help from a trusted adult - another relative, a friend's parents, social services, a doctor, a teacher - there must be someone.

Really - trying to run away is only going to make things worse.

I know personal privacy advocates and counselors who've advised battered spouses on starting new lives far away from their abusive exes...both have told me many of the same tips:

First, plan ahead with an eye on moving 6 months to a year later. If you leave too soon without a plan you'll often make mistakes that leave trails behind.

Next, assuming you're an adult, pay the money to run a credit and background check on yourself with a reputable site.  This will give you an idea of all the personal information that's already out there.

Most of that information can't be changed or removed, but you can take steps to reduce how much of a "trail" you leave going forward. The important thing is to stop tying any new data to anything already on that report.

Step 1)  Get off social media NOW and reduce your "digital footprint." End every membership and subscription service that required a traceable phone number, address or credit card to enroll.

Step 2)  Get a prepaid phone and pay for it and the reload cards in CASH (anything you buy with a credit card can be traced back to  you).  Create a new email address that does not link back to any trackable personal data.  Use these ONLY for things related to your "new" life....inquiries on job or rental opportunities, for example.

Step 3)  Research ahead of time where you'd like to live.  Search that area for rentals with private owners (as opposed to corporate-managed properties that require you to fill out an application full of personal information that can then be sold to marketers). If possible, travel there to open a new bank account with a different bank than you currently use.

Step 4) Start changing your look now.  If you wear glasses get contacts or distinctively different frames.  Let your hair grow out...or if it's long cut it short or try a different color.  Just tell people "you're trying something different."

The point is to get those around you to "forget" your original look and get used to the new one.  When you move, you can go back to your "natural" look or pick an entirely different one.

Law enforcement, a good private detective and many tech-savvy people will still be able to find you if they work at it, but there are ways to disappear from other people's lives if not dropping completely "off the grid."
