Well it's often the last stop before a real paradise.

New Zealand and the South Pacific.

It can be if you're very wealthy or on welfare... the middle class is rapidly disappearing from the major cities.

It is very frustrating because of the over-the-top liberalism and taxes which will soon be horrendous.  But the weather is the best in the nation.   The cities are simply huge cesspools.

    When did hell become paradise?

For most of California it's too arid and dry and doesn't get enough rain.  It does have a very dry heat, which is easier to cope with, than the tropical parts of east America.  It's coastline is beautiful but the sea temperature is freezing!

No.  Capitalist Silicon Valley has a poverty problem.

Yes. You have everything in CA. In 45 minutes I can be at the beach, downtown, the mountains, a lake, or the desert. No other state can compare with our weather. Born and raised in Southern California (SoCal).
