i’m a 17 year old female almost 18 in a few months (from America if that helps) and I think I might have an STD. I can’t tell my parents... What should I do?
for those asking why my parents need to know, they don’t. but i do feel like it’s important that they know... i just know i’m going to get judged for it

Go to the doctor. Planned parenthood is a good place if there’s one near you. You can also see your regular doctor, go to urgent care, or a free clinic. You can always tell your parents a different reason for needing to see a doctor. Tell them you have a UTI, or something else, and then just privately tell the doctor what’s really going on. You need to get treatment though. If you have to tell your parents, so be it. It’s better for them to be mad at you than to leave an STD untreated. It can cause lots of problems and possibly damage your fertility if you don’t get treatment.
