Do you think it's bad when college professors push their politics onto their students??

I realize things like this are inevitable, and even common but I was wondering what you're opinion is on professors who use their platform to push a narrative or agenda. This very common especially in liberal arts (I'm a psych major so i know).

Personally, I think professors can have their own opinions on things because everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but i think students who disagree would be allowed to have their opinions too. For example, my friend had a political science class who had  professor who was very anti-trump and any pro-trump remarks were prohibited. Although many would agree, if pro-trump comments are prohibited shouldn't anti-trump remarks be prohibited too.

Sadly, I understand these things happen naturally and life is unfair sometimes, but I too get really tired of professors who push their politics onto students. Ive seen even more outrageous things on the news. What are your thoughts?

Colleges have become indoctrination institutions rather than institutions of learning.

Yes and all liberals should be fired. Many teachers were discovered in riots among antifa and never got fired.

Many of the liberal arts subjects are not hard sciences. It is a bunch of insights (ie opinions), and without insights and analysis, what does the professor contribute anyway? People should read and listen critically.

What the professor should do is make sure students feel safe to disagree. Academic freedom includes the freedom to debate without fear of punishment. Students should not be punished with bad grades and professors should not be punished by the administration.

Not to be rude but anyone whose pro-traitor should be fired and failed.  There is nothing pro about the former president and the professor wasn't pushing a political belief, they were trying to teach reality.  Just saying.

Teachers are supposed to TEACH NOT PREACH.

IMO, any teacher who pushes an agenda should be fired and never teach again.
