    Depends on the context. It is a tasty comestible often served with roast beef. In the past, it was served first, on iits own to reduce the appetite and make the expensive meat go further.

    If you call someone a yorkshire pudding, it is an insult, suggesting that they are a pudding, and, well, from Yorkshire.

    I am not insulted by it, but I don't make it often either-can't be bothered.
