Is the problem with a $15/hr minimum wage the fact that their bosses won't be able to afford tactical gear and plane tickets to Washington?

Instituting a $15 minimum immediately is the stupidest thing I have heard with an economy which is teetering on the cusp of a multi-year depression.  Raise the minimum from 10 to 15 and a McDonald's owner will lose $200 thousand right out of his pocket.  That might put him in negative earnings category or at the minimum making about as much as his employees make.

Not a problem for the boss, he will just not hire more people to do job or raise prices on their product.  If you don't think it will happen, California just raised minimum wage to $14.00 on Jan 1,2021. Right now, you have people already crying on how much prices have gone because of this increase 

No, the main problem is that many small businesses won't be able to keep people working.
