What keeps bagpipe players from getting sick?

The inside of those animal bags must be teeming with vermin. Do the blowers build up an immunity over time.  

Update:

My shoes are a fairly clean thing. Being leather, it breathes any moisture that gets evaporating it. That's why my shoes are virtually bacteria free.

    If it's not being shared then they're not likely to get sick from playing a bagpipe.

    A bagpipe is fairly a clean thing. It's leather it breathes any moisture that gets in it evaporates just like it would in a pair of leather shoes
