Because your question has been ghosted.  It will not show under the subcategory you selected.  To make it appear you need to move it to another subcategory and then back to the subcategory you want it in.  This works but it could also get ghosted again and you have to do the same thing over and over it, pain In the butt glitch that Verizon Media has not fixed but they have enough time to make new formats.

As long as the question isn't too gross, too much of a rant, or extremely anti-social, you should be fine.

It depends on the details of "not shown". If posted and removed, it was a violation of the rules and removed (see reference).
