Can you send bottled maple syrup from Canada to france?

I am looking to send maple syrup to a friend in france, I don’t know if it is legal

    We can't even send a box of maple syrup from one end of the warehouse at work to the other without some clown thinking Fragile is French for Football and ending up with a sticky broken glass mess on the floor.

    I think so. Anyway in France we find maple syrup. I have seen some bottles in a ' Leader Price ' supermarket lately.

    The restrictions are on fresh meat, fruit, and vegetables - not on something like maple syrup.
